Human error caused expensive Va. Lottery mistake
New Game Generated More Than 600 Winning Tickets Debra and Raul Bennett are faithful lottery players, though in nearly 15 years of playing they never had won much more than pocket money. So on Sunday, when the retired Hampton, Va., couple realized they had a winning ticket from the Virginia Lottery's brand-new Fast Play Super 7s game, they were ecstatic. Plans for spending the $7,777 the game's top prize came fast and furious. But when the Bennetts went to the Hampton Virginia Lottery o

Generally training data would be to take a data set and split it up, maybe the first 70% for training an AI model, and the last 30% for testing the model. You can change parameters on the model and redo the test data until it becomes more accurate. The error function measures how far off the predictions are off from the test data, then the computer learns to reduce the error by applying techniques like gradient descent to find a minimum error level, and adjusts the model (the weights applied

SC Lottery not paying winnings on game because of 'programming error'
I'd assumed it was simply a printing error, such as too many winning symbols shown. Based on the report, that's exactly what it was. Sort of. The tickets were printed incorrectly, but it was obviously a flaw in the software that resulted in the printing error. Since something caused the software to incorrectly print the tickets so that they appear to be winners it seems perfectly reasonable that those tickets would appear to be winners when they're checked against what's likely to be the sa

Virginia: 9/1 - 9/30/2015
I found an error in my back-checking program. Rats. Funny thing is, the error only affected some numbers and not others, and it happened that the two numbers I checked the program against manually were not affected by the error, so I completely missed it. Oops! What passes for good news here is that the error was easy to fix (way easier to fix than it was to find, that's for sure). Anyway, here is the output for today from my workup combined with the corrected back-check program. 001 072 072

Warning Black list of online play sites/guess who is on the list?
Hi Todd. My post certainly wasn't to promote the entity, convince anyone, or anything like that as I do respect you and your rules here. The case with Dan , though, seemed to have a red flag upon discovery of a bad (inflated) line. Seems he actually felt uneasy about the 7000:1 deal which made perfect sense. You know the old cliche, 'If it sounds (or looks in this case) too good to be true then it probably isn't. Personally, I would've never touched that bet and he shouldn't have either. However
