Lottery-winning doorman gets the girl but might lose job
I pointed this out in 2 previous posts on this thread said people on this board were bitter or jealous, but then I saw the slide show with 15 poses! If someone puts himself in the limelight, then he is setting himself up for public criticism just like any 'celebrity' - although I doubt if Mr. Randazzo friend are reading LP comments or care what we think.
Although I don't trust everything I read in the paper, one article said he tried to move into the building for which he works, but $5,000 a

Ohio winner of $196M lottery jackpot claims prize anonymously
Ohio tax is 6% and that amount will be deducted from each of the 26 payments because that will always be Ohio income no matter where they live. Since the amount of the annuity is higher than the cash value, they will pay more in Ohio taxes on the annuity.
The article mentioned city tax and one city that did have an income tax wanted to collect taxes from a jackpot winner because the ticket was sold in their city even thought the winner didn't live there. The courts ruled the winnings or incom

$57M Mega Millions lottery winner is sex offender with criminal past
What does poverty have to do with his crime involving a 13 year old girl that was pleaded down? Despite the girl apparently saying it was consentual and the fact that alcohol might have been involved, that's still ****ed up in this day and age. It wasn't like he was 17 either, he was 35 or 36, don't feel like looking up the dates to make sure. Granted I'm not going to put this guy in the same boat as someone like Daniel Snay who has a long history of child abuse but he's still a creep, even if a

Lottery win opens doors for N.Y. doorman
he'll take any women that'll have his stinking self -- and i say that in the most respectable tone for sanitation engineers
Sandra, that quote was from the above article about the NY Doorman. The sanitation engineer (I like the job title) I mentioned had a lot of respect for women. He was so shy he couldn't talk to me without turning red.

Well then, you wouldn't like me. I was thinking of coloring my hair a de

Contract controversy reveals D.C. Lottery's tangled roots
Wow, I had the same experience as you! I lived right outside D.C. at the time Marion Barry got busted for smoking crack in a hotel room, and that was about the time that I had enough. I am so glad I didn't have to be there when he was elected back into office after he did jail time.
It is such a crying shame, because it is such a beautiful city, I think the most beautiful of any in America. It has a wonderful metro system, and is a great college town to boot.
Not only the political correct

What Ever Happened to Brad Duke?
I found this (partial) Brad Duke article a while back from 03/01/07
What happened to your job at Golds Gym?
I still teach a spinning class there twice a week. I took some time off after the whole thing because everybody had investment opportunities that were the greatest thing since sliced bread, and there were 100 of them every day. So I had to get out of there for a while, but when I went back, the people I'd been teaching for the last 8 years were still the same people, and I was

Winners of $14.5M lottery jackpot shun spotlight
People who know the couple are staying tight-lipped, saying the Winkworths are private and probably don't want publicity.
Ironic that an article available to the general public has this statement!
John Letherby, spokesman for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., said often big winners change their phone numbers.
Shouldn't this be a hint? Reminds me of when a local man won 1/2 of a $47M jackpot a couple of months ago and the newspaper said he didn't want to talk to the press. Then they

Pair arrested for stealing lottery tickets for 3 years
umm i got a question. where does it say in the article how they was finally caught?? i seemed to have missed it. i am not
saying that they are right for stealing the tickets, but the owner has to take some of the blame for allowing this kind
of theft to go on right under his or her nose for 3 years. unless the woman that was stealing was also in charge of the
lottery ticket inventory. i really would like to know more about this story because there just isnt enough information
here.

Money can't buy you happines
In the past 2 years I've seen many sad posts when people have lost loved ones or gone through a bad divorce, etc. I doubt if money would comfort those people. Read the news article about the man who has a fatal heart disease. Sure, the money can give him some creature comforts and provide for his wife if he dies, but when you are fighting for your life, wouldn't you give up everything just to have another year with your children or loved ones?
Yes, money is very important and always has been.

Police seize winning lottery ticket bought with drug money
Spy, to me you are making no sense whatsoever. What if he took the money and bought a gun? This has nothing to do with the lottery except that the news article is appearing on a lottery board. Whatever money he received from a drug buy doesn't belong to him!
If he took $100 from a man to have sex with a 9 year old, went out and bought a PB ticket and won $50 million, it wouldn't be his money either. It was obtained from committing an illegal act, just like robbing a bank. He was selling d
