Mega Millions Won :-(
Not that I track numbers--I'm pretty new to most of this and have only started thinking outside the box since finding LP--but a recent post from RJOh got me thinking about number groupings and their distribution.
There are many stat and computer people on this site who could either confirm (or refute) my thoughts but RJ pointed out how infrequent a distribution of winning JP numbers when clustered over 30 (like last Tuesday's MM nonwinning draws were) and therefore, presumably any cluste

Tennessee Lottery computerized drawings flawed since inception
I agree, but I don't think it was even their RNG. It was just an incredibly BAD programming error, which should have EASILY been caught. Obviously, the Tennessee Lottery did NOT do any semblance of due diligence on the new draw system, or it would have been caught, as the article states.
I'll bet that the RNG did not spit out any doubles or triples because it was setup exactly like the Pick 5 game, in which it is not allowed to draw duplicates. So all they did is change the possible number

UK Lottery operator plans $500 million global lottery game
Logic
The article stated that The overall size of the annual jackpot will be dictated by the number of countries that decide to take part in the competition.
Camelot will most likely go after states and countries with large populations and/or high lottery sales. In my opinion most southern states with a lottery will not make the cut and some Powerball states will not make the cut. Some Mega millions states will not make the cut. So you are left with states in the Northeast, some in

UK Lottery operator plans $500 million global lottery game
As long as there's no federal prohibition against it the choice will be up to individual states, or the federal government could decide to offer it. The people who run PB and MM would be free to lobby against it, but they don't get to make the decision.
Let's assume that for every dollar spent on the proposed lottery a dollar doesn't get spent on MM or PB. If the state sells that ticket, how does that reduce their income from ticket sales? If they keep 50 cents on the dollar, they'll make

Hoosier Lottery
RJ,
The point of the lawsuit is that the Hoosier Lottery did exactly that. They published false and misleading information in order to entice people to buy tickets for a game where the prizes didn't exist.
According to the article in the Fort Wayne Observer...the Hoosier Lottery advertised over $8 million in prizes available for the Cash Blast game. They sold 5 million tickets at $10 each for a total $50 million in ticket sales. In total they paid out less than $1 million in prizes on t

Futility
This is good:

Not related to this article but there are some scientists studying the theory that what initiates the lightning strike are high energy cosmic particles that make it into the upper atmosphere from space, specifically gamma, cosmic rays. Also it is speculated (but very diffcult to measure) the lightning strike produces X-rays.
This is what Aerosmith thinks about the entire subject:

Couple nearly victims of lottery scam
I thought there was something wrong with this article when I first read it. Something is definitely missing. Taking a check to the bank against which a check is written is safer than depositing it in your own bank, so I agree with your statement. I don't see how any teller could withdraw money from an invalid account.
However, if I deposit a bad check in my account, I am held responsible for that check. So this couple would have been in trouble. That's why many stores now use a check v

can someone here post me an example of a fake RNG lottery drawing?
Indiana did the same thing. In fact, the Hoosier Lottery spent so much money on their animation program, most players didn't know about the RNG for at least two years after they began using it! Their public announcement about the new drawing method was buried on their web site, so the public had no opportunity to react to the RNG idea. They no longer air live drawings.
Soon after LosingJeff and I met with Hoosier Lottery officials, Kevin Leininger wrote his first article about our inv

Lottery Winner's Lucky Day Turns into One Heck of a Mess
Welcome to the world of news reporting. She definitely didn't buy the ticket during that visit, because it's a raffle game, but there's nothing in the article to suggest she did or didn't buy it there when they were on sale. Perhaps she mentioned where she bought it, perhaps the lottery didn't bother asking, or perhaps they claimed it was a gift.
IMHO, the NY lottery has at least one huge flaw in their security procedures for online games. The exact time the ticket is issued is printed on

7-7-7 was a lucky day!!
Congradulations!!! There is a very good article you should read that was posted here some few years ago titled WHAT TO DO BEFORE AND AFTER YOU WIN THE LOTTERY.
I'm sure you can find it in the table of contents at:
www.Lotto-Logix.com
It would be exciting to see your ticket posted here too.
Just remember, before you start giving away $, you could live a very long time and need those investments.
