Why it is important to remain anonymous
In that case I would do what guesser would do. Tell everyone to go blank themselves. There are many people here in Naples Florida, who are very wealthy. I'm sure they have lawyers who take care of all the people and organizations that ask for handouts. They have great security, and lastly, those things listed above would be the least of my problems. I sincerely wish I had those kind of problems...LOL I can't imagine going through life constantly worrying about every little thing, especially

Indiana Lottery sell-off advances in state Senate
Not to try and oversimplify what would be a very complicated transaction - but here goes... The States are looking for many years worth of revenue up front and lesser future returns. I'm not sure how smart that is from a policy perspective...to me its like pulling money out of your retirement fund because you want to buy a new car now. That said, very few States actually embrace the Lottery as an agency or have much interest in them performing well. Most Governors just want the Lottery t

Atlantic Lotto checking fraud complaints
Atlantic Lottery Corporation is investigating several complaints from customers who are worried they may have been defrauded of lottery winnings by retailers. The customers are concerned they might have won big prizes, but weren't told by the retailers checking the tickets, who then went on to claim the prizes as their own. Atlantic Lotto said it received the complaints in the days following reports on the CBC about similar incidents in Ontario and the United States. We did get a lot of c

If you hit a jackpot.........
CT I voted for more than one but since I have not won a big one and had the problem I am not sure. This is a good thread because we all get a chance to hear what some of the pitfalls may be from winning. Obviously, if I won I would be befriended by anyone who even recognized my name. I have heard some people have had to literally leave town to gain some piece and quiet and most important a feeling of security. It seems like there would be so many people looking over your shoulder, t

If you had a 'system'....
The under $600 no tax is so deceitful, it is scary that it's allowed. The reality of the under $600 (and I think the actual is really $599.99 or less) is an annual running total, NOT an single seperate win. If you won $300 a week for 10 weeks, the IRS will eventually notice you had an extra $3,000 and the IRS will want to know where their cut is. A good example is a coworker of mine who is now saving up and collecting all of his non-winning tickets to offset his wins. The reason? The IRS not

Everthing working OK?
Todd. This white box does not now show, unless I first disable the rich text editor on board settings. it used to show just last night or very early today. I am using IE 6, the last (OLd) update of it for Win98SE. The internet options settings that I have on it, have not been changed since my last post, yet the input pad box for the rich text editor does not come on no more. My IE settings are set for IE high security, "ACTIVE SCRIPTING" is the only setting enabled, all others are dis

The Number 8
This is from Glynis McCants - The Numbers Lady , numerologist, auhor, and radio personality: Hello, I recently did a show with George Noory on Coast to Coast am where we discussed the financial power behind the # 8. Here is my brief explanation on how it works. The number 8 encourages financial security. I have had many clients put an 8 in their wallet, and just leave it in there. Next thing you know, they get a check out of the blu

Britain may become the online gambling capital
I agree with Badger -- The politicians take our tax money and throw it away on anything they want. Then have to hide the gambling bill in a Port Security Bill because they don't have enough guts to let the legislation stand on its own merits. Remember everyone the working stiff is too stupid to know how to spend his money. Washington knows best. I am telling you if there were any decent third party candidates --- I say send a real message and vote everyone that currently holds a seat in co
