are you superstitious?
I think most people are, at least somewhat, but at a place like LP where picking numbers is involved, more people will admit to it.
Where supersitions really abound are in gambling and sports.
I saw casino bosses do somethings you wouldn't believe, and in casinos, almost everyone is superstitious.
Sport magazine one time did an article on Voodoo Football . It mentioned if a team won last Sunday, the following Sunday at breakfast everyone had to sit next to the same person, order

Not sure if I should release new feature...
That's something I think about a lot, which is why I tend to be tight-lipped about these things. It's bad enough when a certain strategies site monitors Lottery Post and copies everything I do, but to have someone take an idea I leaked and then release it like their own idea would be much worse.
(BTW, that site has now copied my Flash-based lottery results map. I guess they realized my custom-built interactive map looks a lot better than their map picture they copied off the web. They al

Probabilty of Someone Winning a PB & MM Jackpot in the same Week!
Not really, but I do agree we'll never agree this way. Saying 2 tickets changes the odds of a 1 in 140 million odd game to 1 in 70 million is assuming that each ticket is only gambling on 1/2 of the combinations. But when you have 2 tickets that are betting on all 140 million combinations, the odds are NOT cut in half. Sure, I agree if you had 2 separate games where there were 70 million possibilities (and this also applies to games with lesser odds) then buying a ticket for each game would p

Lottery winner followed careful spending plan
Arguably, his net worth couldn't really be 130 million if he had 130 million but still owed tax, but I ran my numbers based on no taxes or fees being taken out. I did that mostly because it's the simple approach, but also because we have no way of knowing what his future taxes would be or when he would pay them. I would assume that returns as high as he claims would be from appreciation and he would therefore pay some of his taxes at the capital gains rate. Of course some gains would be from

Why it is important to remain anonymous
This is undoubtedly one of the most important posts that you will ever see at Lottery Post, and as someone who has posted on here for years, I honestly suggest that you read this very carefully!
For months, I thought about what I would do if I won the lottery, and what my life would be like. I thought about where I would want to buy my tickets. Sometimes, I would think about being anonymous. Sometimes, I would think about whether to hold a news conference if I couldn't be anonymous i

My brother won 35 million
Your brother lives only TWO (2) miles away from you, and the two of you haven't spoken to each other in FOURTEEN (14) years!?!?!?!?!
Don't tell me that if you ever win the powerball, that your brother won't camp outside your house, looking for you.
The reality is that if you ever win a lottery jackpot, people related to you and people not related to you WILL have a hand out. Human nature is still human nature, regardless of how much money you have.
I know and understand that most st

Biggest U.S Jackpots winners: Do you know them?
Number 3 was the Chaney West families in Oregon
Number 4 had 3 winners one each from GA, Il, NJ
Number 5 was the Lucky Seven, a group of Hospital workers in Anahiem, CA
Don't know what they have done with their money. There was an article recently about the Nebraska winners as it was the one year anniversary. The two or three interviewed just pretty much stayed the same, maybe bought a house or a car. Also, I remember something last fall about the folks in Oregon, again arou

how would YOU change the payouts?
how would YOU change the payouts in pick 3? how about pick 4 or pick 5?
maybe even in powerball or mega millions?
I would like to see more money going to the lower tier prizes. For example, I got 4 out of 6 in FL Lotto after many years of playing and won $75. Big Deal! Even $500 would be much nicer. Same for Fantasy 5 - you finally get 4 numbers and win about $100. However, the goal is to win the jackpot, so I doubt if they'll ever change. The states want to make a big profit, s

Breaking Las Vegas: Could it happen to the lotto..
Cointoss You said: They did not expect their largest ever jackpot to be exported and launched an enquiry.
What do you/they have meant by the word: Exported ..
Like 5 years ago i did research with pick6/49 combinations and i found out that there is a group of combinations that are more likely to play, more than others if you know what to filters for..For pick6/44 with 7Million combinations, i say there are 2 million combinations like that...I've also read on the internet the same thing
