New York hit the Jackpot again...WTF!!
Actually, we do have our own jackpot game, simply called Lotto. Its popularity has declined greatly since NY joined PB and MM, and as a result the jackpot has decreased, leading to a vicious cycle. The jackpots used to be pretty robust, but now they start at $3M and only go up $500K at a time. It takes forever just to get it up to the $12M Mega minimum.

Lottery stop loss limit=$60 annually with three playing methods starting in 2012
I feel that powerball jackpots will go to $100 millions and $200 millions so fast that we are not going to have any chance of playing mega millions.By the way the new powerball odds will be lower than current mega millions odds.Take a look at it on the questions and answers section in the powerball website.

Mega millions will have a hard time competing against powerball $40 millions starting jackpot next month unless they increase the starting jackpot to $40 millions too or merge with powerball to create a national lottery. It will be interesting to see how it plays out because the players that are now spending $20 to get 20 PB tickets will only get 10. When the jackpots are about the same size, we'll probably see more people playing the $1 MM tickets. Since many states now offer both MM an

Iowa $16.5M Hot Lotto winner claims prize with two hours to spare
I don't like this process that returns unclaimed jackpots to the states. It should be returned to the original jackpot it was taken from after the time period to claim it expires. Why do the states win it by default? They didn't buy all those tickets, the players did, and the money should remain in the jackpot so they still get an honest chance to win it. They put that money in there, not the states.

Iowa $16.5M Hot Lotto winner claims prize with two hours to spare
I now hate NY...they are owning the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots this year. Hoping for some change in 2012...that winds of lady luck will blow on Illinois and that Illinois have multiple Mega Millions and Powerball jackpot winners!

The wealthiest zip codes keep winning most lottery jackpots in new york state. The 206 millions mega millions jackpot was won in Suffolk County Long island (QUICK PICK). That is the reason why i do not spend too much on lotteries. Some geographic areas win more than others even though the playership is lower in those areas. I feel that powerball is going to make a smart move by increasing the ticket cost to $2 with a higher starting jackpot in 2012.I am tired of seeing mega millions rolling li

Bought "last" powerball ticket tonight
I do not believe you. When you see a $400 millions dollars jackpot next year, you will spend $2 for a ticket. I know I will spend $2 whenever the powerball jackpot gets to a life changing amount.High jackpots games are here to stay. They might create a big national game next year, otherwise mega millions will increase its tickets cost to $2 too.

Bought "last" powerball ticket tonight
I don't play the Powerball much as it is... maybe here and there. I can't recall ever winning anything on a PB anyway. I much prefer the sctrach offs and games with lower jackpots CA$H4 or 2by2. I will probably try the Powerball a few times when the price goes up.

Lottery Games Are Nothing But A Big Pool Of Players.Play Less Often For Less Lines To Win Big.
Powerball will be the perfect game to play starting next year. It will be great to win a jackpot after it had been pushed to a crazy amount.I will not be surprised to see a $500 millions powerball jackpot next year, with jackpots starting at $40 millions; it will be jackpot fever of $100 millions cash value in a very short time.
