Amid delay in new lottery policy, repeat winners keep on winning
It's been a charmed decade for Ali Jaafar. The Watertown man keeps hitting it big on the Massachusetts State Lottery, winning millions of dollars from thousands of scratch tickets.
For the past two years, Jaafar has held the title of the state's winningest lottery player. But he is just one of hundreds of individuals who repeatedly cash in on the Massachusetts lottery.
The lottery does not know how some of these so-called frequent winners manage to win so often. Many of these players hold

Lottery scammer rigged more drawings than first thought, records show
The computer program that a former lottery security official used to rig drawings worth millions of dollars in Iowa and other states was more expansive than investigators first discovered, court records filed last week show.
Eddie Tipton, a former employee of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) in Clive, wrote the code to allow him to predict the randomly drawn numbers of multimillion-dollar jackpots in as many as 17 states and claim the cash prizes.
The code remained active and und

IRS scammed with losing lottery tickets
Here's one way to dodge the taxman buy thousands of losing lottery tickets.
It's true. Gamblers have concocted a scheme to repurpose the dud ducats to offset their winnings. A winner can go online and get $5,000 worth of losing lottery tickets to cover their $5,000 in gambling winnings. The lottery tickets serve as a sort of security blanket if the auditor comes calling.
Ads captured on Craigslist and eBay from Florida to California hawk the tickets so the potential lotto buyer can defraud

800 million dollars
Here's another reason why anyone that wins a huge lottery jackpot needs to hire a team of financial experts. Your taxes just got a whole lot more complex than they ever were after your big lottery jackpot win, and most people would not have a clue how to do their taxes on their own. Not to mention those whopping big numbers on the tax form you file with the IRS is going to immediately draw the IRS's attention, and your return will most likely be flagged for an audit.
Everybody does their inc

California winner of $2.04 billion Powerball lottery jackpot revealed
As much as I am shocked and ecstatic to have won the Powerball drawing, the real winner is the California public school system, Castro said in his note.
An under-reported issue is that the CA Lottery does not really contribute all that much to public education here.

Problem with Powerball Draw
What does that mean territories?
Austrialia just won the PB i heard.
After winning a record-breaking $107 million (US$79.6 million) in January 2019, an Australian nurse proclaimed that she would be returning to work the next day, and she has since kept her promise.
That seems weird. What do they plan to do in Australia with the money now that the NWO has been declared there?
Seems like American money should not be going to a tyrannical state.
Although I dont know what

Predicting winning numbers? Fact or fiction?
I'm not trying to pour fuel on this issue, but I can think of how I'd implement the practice if I ran the lottery. I was watching videos on youtube of the mechanical drawing for Powerball. There are two spheres of balls. White balls from which the first 5 numbers are selected and red balls which are the Powerball number. When activated, jets of air blow the balls around inside the spheres. After they settle down, a cylinder pushes the balls up from the bottom one at a time and they drop down a c

How well do you think you could hide a lottery win from relatives?
Good move Artist.
Slightly reminiscent of telling a panhandler you'd take them to lunch and then they start bobbing and weaving.
The Las Vegas Review Journal had a reporter go tell several panhandlers he'd give them $50 (this was the 1980s) for about a half-hours work in his garage. Every one of them told him they couldn't afford to leave 'their corner'.
On one of TLC's lottery programs a woman who had won a nice jackpot said she shared it with family, very generously. She then expla

Audit reveals 'questionable' Colorado Lottery wins
I can't post links but the actual audit report is here: (I removed the http...)

Exhibit 2.1 shows the Pick 3 winnings for 2017 as $543,170. Multiplying by 3 (as an estimate) gives $1.6 million. My guess is they are only counting wins of $600 or more and that most people don't bet high enough (or specify an exact order win) to win more than $500.
There are more interesting details, including a stati
