Best way to predict numbers
prob987,There are two situations.1. What are the odds that the following ticket (1, 12, 23, 32, 41, MB13) is selected twice in a row using quick picks? Answer: (1 in 135,000,000) squared.2. What are the odds that any two quick picks match exactly. Answer: First you buy one quick pick. The odds of getting any combination is 1 in 1 because any combination will do. Then you buy a second ticket where the numbers must match the first ticket, odds of 1 in 135,000,000. The factor of the two odds is 1 i

Alleged high-tech roulette scam "easy to set up"
Odds of 1:35 of getting 35x your bet back makes it seem piratical and worth while to gamble at the roulette tables. Such odds with lottery games haven't existed for years. Years ago Virgina had a lottery with odds of 1:9K of winning a jackpot of $40K and an investment group tried to buy all the possible combinations and won the jackpot and Virgina changed their lottery laws and later their odds. Today the best odds I seen are 1:8 of getting 1x your bet back(Ohio Buckeye5 and similar games) and

question about increasing odds??
I must really be stupid because I do not understand this, but can somebody tell me! If the chance of winning a lottery is 1 in 100 for 1 combination, if the person plays 10 different combinations, does that change the odds of winning from 1 in 100, to 10 in 100, or are the odds now increased to 1 in 10? isnt that the same thing ( 10 in 100 or 1 in 10)? Is that the difference between odds and averages? I'm sure this is probably simple to some people, but I do not understand this.

Scratch off Odds?
LobsterClanPosted: October 28, 2003 at 11:57pm - IP LoggedIMG height=21 alt=Quote LobsterClan src= http://66.70.117.239/lpimages/p_quote.gif > Do Instant tickets have to have specific odds set?I ask because of the upcoming Florida Lottery's $5 scratch game Holiday Gift Tag Set. This is a $5 ticket with odds of 1-7.47 !!That would mean you have to buy 7+ tickets to expect to even win anything, at a cost of $35+.I've never seen a ticket before with odds much higher than 1-4. I do hope this is s

Today's Experiment...
My two cents...Pick 3 and 4 has the best payout-per-odds ratio of all state lottery games. Your winnings are 50% of your odds in most cases. The Big Game gives you $175 K to get 5 correct minus the extra ball. The odds for that are 2.18 million to one. Payout-per-odds ratio is 8%.The bigger the game, the worse the payout-to-odds ratio. And when you consider that angle with the scratch-off games, the States should be arrested for highway robbery. If you want to make money, and if you're good, s

i cant win
Remember Brad,That odds of 1:3.5 can be deceptive because it includes free tickets. For example in the Ohio649P had odds of 1:451 of winning a prize when they paid a prize for matching three numbers plus the bonus ball or better. Then they changed the rule so that matching three numbers only would get you a free QP ticket with annunity pay only, and changed the odds of winning a prize to 1:54. The QP doesn't give you the same choices you would have with a dollar so many say that the QP is not

Is there a limit?
visiondude: being someone who likes to play with numbers/odds, I agree with you about playing quick picks. You are as likely to win with a QP as you are playing with carefully selected combinations or playing a zillion tickets.I read awhile ago the only true way to reduce your odds on winning the Lottery to play more combinations. An example for MM1-combination, 135,145,920:11000-combinations, 135,146:1just to reduce the odds to 1000:1 you must play 135,000 combinationsSince it's not pratical

Improved Odds To Win
How many here are familiar with syndicate lottery play and the benefits? I have been playing with a lottery team now for a couple months and find a few interesting things developing. In a lotto draw combination of 6 balls, 1 though 49, having the ability being guarantted a sixth number can make a huge difference in the odds to win.I think it is something like instead of 1 in 14 million, your odds improve to something like 1 in 1 million - 14x times better odds of winning two times weekly...Wh
