Powerball: ALMOST had it right
Sleepingdogslie,You are probably right, but I hope not. Last night, out of $20 worth of tickets in Powerball I matched 2+PB for $7, but I didn't mention it, because I didn't think it was worth mention when I checked to see how many tickets did better. I hope the next time you start a post titled ALMOST had it right , it will be a post where you matched 5 for $175K and missed the jackpot by just coming close to picking the right PowerBall. Good luck to you.RJOh

Powerball: ALMOST had it right
Last year in Ohio649P, I missed matching all 6 digits for the jackpot by missing one digit by 2. I matched 5 of the 6 which paid $1500. That is what I call close, simply having 6 numbers that are on the playing cards is expected since the card is rejected if you don't mark 6 numbers.RJOh

lotto websites
If by high quality picks he means numbers that will win the lotteries, he can check each lottery own web page. They post a high quality pick after each drawing, however that high quality pick is usually only good once and is likey to be a loser for all future drawings.RJOh

Quick-Pick Number Strategy
To Pick-4 Master,Have you test that 20 Tickets Strategy to see if all that extra traveling, gas money and time is worth it? If the terminals really pick numbers randomly, wouldn't you have the same advantage by finding a busy terminal and buy 20 tickets at 20 different times? If one likes to excercise, I suppose one could combine buying tickets with a running or walking routine and have a win-win combo. Just looking at this strategy from outside the box.RJOh

A question to serious LD users
I've never used LD, but I have used other programs of which their data files were similar to text files. If you can read the wheelings files the program uses with a text editor like wordpad or notepad, chances are it will read any text file with a similar structure and the same extension. RJOh

team effort/mega millions
Kristin,If Megamillions paid for matching 2 numbers, the overall odds of having a winning ticket would go from 1:43 to 1:12 and the possible winning combinations would increase from 3,162,306 to 135,195,920, which means the jackpot would hardly grow at all and the match5's and others would pay a lot less. Games that pay $1 for a match2 never have a top prize over $100K let alone a second prize of $150K.RJOh

What Lotto Systems do you use??
I use Lotto Pro to keep my data updated, but I have a program(system) that I wrote in GWBasic years ago and I am still improving to pick my numbers. It profiles past winning numbers and pick numbers within that profile(parameters). I posted it in the system section a couple of months ago. Last year I match 5 or 6 in the Ohio649P for $1500, but I think it was more due to luck than my system. I have never won the jackpot in any lottery.RJOh

Dirty Rotten Quick Picks
What is so bad about those QP? Just check Megamillions past winners.06/20/03 01-02-03-37-42 +3507/25/03 33-46-47-50-51 +30Your QP just looks bad because they didn't win. We all think we know what a winning number looks like because we see so many losers. Every set of numbers look like a loser until they win.RJOh
