this psychologist is dead on. this is why i preach to only play the under let's say 10m state lotteries. avoid powerbore and meggie millions as they are nearly impossible to hit and hitting it will envitably bring problems. everyone seems greedy and wants those 100m jackpots, but you really don't need that much as you will be constantly hounded by individuals for a cut...

the second prize for MegaMillions (having just 5 balls and not the Mega number) will result in a prize of $1,000,000 Haha...yeah. In California, thanks to pari-mutuel, 2nd prize would either be 3x that much or MORE LIKELY a fraction of that. It was probably looked at but not taken. I read every body opinions but I seldom if ever consider their opinions more important than my own unless they've won more jackpots than me. If a person has taken the time to develop a strategy, he's probably spent more time on it than some one else who tells him to abandon it and try something else.

stick with usa jackpots. you'd garner too much attention by winning that european one. realistically no one needs to win that much. headache city. better off knocking down one of the states avg. 3million megabucks type with no bonus number to match. those fly under the radar from the borrowers or expectors.

Right now I'm not a fan of this. I hope mega millions doesn't decide to go to $2 dollars. And if MM does decide to up the ante, they may as well make their game a $5 game and start the jackpots at 100 million.

Starting jackpots double to $40 million=Great for players. Better overall odds for more winners=I doubt it. Ticket price will increase to $2=Great for powerball not the players.

With both games being similar it was alway hard to decide which one to play when their jackpots were similar sizes although PB had a slight edge paying $3 for a 0+1. If MM doesn't change, I won't have that problem next year since only their odds of winning will be about the same unless PB lower tier prizes amounts are increased.

I agree Powerplay is the better option with the new price increase, but you're still paying 50% more for the same amount of tickets. The jackpots will probably set new records because 175 million tickets must be sold just to have a 50% chance the jackpot will be hit. I don't know what the record sales for PB is for one drawing but MM sold only crossed the 200 million tickets sold twice.

Ughh! More Changes for the Good of the Average Player from Powerball. I heard this same BS the last time the brought changes to the game.....Just designed to suck more money out of your pocket...... Powerball has been going down hill for a long time...by adding Large States that take up more jackpots to adding caps to the Jackpot amounts. This is the end of an era for me.....Powerball is going to get less of my money from now on!
