The smell of money: Scented lottery tickets unveiled in Colorado
Your trash can might enjoy the new game from the state lottery more than your wallet.
The Colorado Lottery unveiled its first scented scratch game today, the latest in a marketing strategy for gaming more reliant on gimmicks than payouts.
In May, there was Pac-Man. Now there will be coffee, chocolate and bouquet scented tickets.
But will patrons care how their ticket smells?
Erika Gonzalez, spokeswoman for the Colorado Lottery, thinks people will bite, especially women.

Im desperate
I guess what I'm reading is that Coin Toss is referring to the amount of money someone desperate might have to spend to win a few hundred bucks. It's all relative I guess. I once sold some furniture to a woman who cried to me I just spent $60,000 on decorating my livingroom and dining room and half my house is still empty. I'm desperate! By the way, here is a typical press release for Florida's pick-5.
I know this is the pick-3 forum, but they don't (for obvious reasons) list the pick-3 and

List of States Which Allow Anonymous Winners
New Mexico - No - and no trust (lottery commission emails)
Dear Lilly,
The New Mexico Lottery is a quasi-governmental agency and falls under the Inspection of Public Records Act. The law requires public access to virtually all public records including a winner's name, the name and location of the retailer that sold the winning ticket, the date the prize was won and the amount of the prize. While there are a few legitimate exceptions, most public records are available for public inspecti

By JILL ZEMAN, Associated Press WriterMon Feb 11, 6:22 AM ET

Do you trust quick picks generated by the Lotteries?
I just checked to see where the winning tickets were sold and if they were QPs. Usually when the numbers are unusually low, the numbers are self-picks. I am posting the press release in blue below. As you can see, only one person won with a QP (from a Free Draw) People always say but when you win with low numbers, you often have to split the jackpot. Yes, and in this case, a lot of people won. However, someone took a dollar and got 2/5 numbers and won a free ticket. He then used that free ticket

Stolen lottery money returned to real winners
Four school board employees, allegedly cheated out of their winning lottery ticket by a retailer who claimed the prize money as his own, received a check for $5.7 million plus interest Wednesday from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
The check came as Ontario Provincial Police announced they had charged Hafiz Malik, a 60-year-old former convenience store owner with theft and fraud following an investigation into insider wins at the OLG.

Tennessee Lottery glitch shuts out players
Robert Johnson's lucky number is typically 909, but not this month.
The Nashville man has played the Tennessee Lottery's Cash 3 game twice a day, every day this month, and his numbers haven't come up.
Turns out, they couldn't have. A computer programming error has prevented any number from being selected more than once in Cash 3 and Cash 4 drawings over the past three weeks, the Tennessee Lottery said Tuesday.
The error meant that no winning draw included duplicate numerals, so any tic

So you have the winning ticket, now what?
First the disclaimer...I'm not an attorney. You would be well advised to consult one instead of taking what I have to say as gospel.
Second...I live in Indiana so the information I present is relevant to citizens of Indiana and out of state residents who win money on the Hoosier Lottery. It may or may not be applicable to your state.
Here's what my research has uncovered:
1. When you go to Lottery Headquarters with your winning ticket to claim your prize there will be a validation pro
