What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
truecritic, Please, go back a reread more of tis thread before hitting the reply button. The statement was made by RJOH that the prediction board is 'entertainment, testing, and bragging rights.' I agree. If you equate it to reading the label on, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, I have no problem. If you read a little further you will see that Jimboo-boo requested certain statistical data, not currently available. You'll find I entertained that idea providing an example using the top 5

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
This validates CT's signature. There are two kinds of lottery winners: Those who remained anonymous and those who wished they had. Very strange turn for this thread Josephus. Yes, it is very possible, a member or a guest has won a jackpot and reading all the horror stories (here) has kept them from posting about it. Since there appear to be enough crooks thieves and scammers who find winners in real life, who would want to invite a whole internet of the same? The point about the many mem

Guys Stuff Maybe you should know...I didnt know this...
guys this was told to me on this site but i didnt listen... there is a new movie coming out with Ben Affleck, called: The Town...Saw the preview and it says that is about some robbers who rob banks in Massachussetts.. Massachussetts has the 4th or 5th easiest lottery in the USA...People may ask..Why rob banks and Rob, $800 and go to jail when you can get: $6,000 on Pick3/Pick4... My answer to that is...most people dont like to play lottery, they probably tried it, 10 years ago and said:

$750,000 Winner - Jingle Jumbo Bucks - 2010
CarHauler said: Is it just me, or are consecutive ticket wins, in exact order almost nonexistent? I keep hearing that 2 tickets in a row do happen, but I am not sure that it has ever happened to me. I think it is just as random as several losing tickets in a row. One time I cashed in a $5 winning 'ticket' winner and the cashier was one of those that said 'you HAVE to buy $5 worth of tickets' as opposed to giving me cash. So I got $5 worth of junior jumbos. All 5 were winnners for a grand tot

Living off of winnings VS living off of interest.
I work with investments at the institutional level. I have heard from folks that I deal with that their investment advisor told them to do this or that...Funny thing is that it defies logic.....Half the time the investment advisor is a close friend that gets lucky every once in a while and the other half try to get the biggest payout from what they recommend. I do see the importance of investing across all types of asset classes (not putting all of your eggs in one basket). Stock Mutual Fund

$18.5M lottery winner 'scraping by'
Even if he did claim anonymous, he probably wouldn't be able to resist the allure of of giving to those in need which would have probably given away his win. Mistakes: Building a replica of Graceland He even wishes that he was back where he originally came from. i am going to guess the type of houses he bought for his children were a little over the top too. Loaning out money.... Buying houses for 8 other relatives. Paying for weddings I can sympathize with

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
and if VD is a true representative of Christianity, it's easy to understand why Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world i am you know how i am? because i refuse to allow people like you to either mock God unchallenged, or to bully Christians into silence, attempting to stealing their voice in the opinion vs opinion arena of life. door mat Christianity isn't biblical , in that at times you let things slide, while other times you fight for what's right so people like you can'

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
thrust, even though i am alot on the slow side about what it is you posted exactly, still it looks to me that you have at least posted something , and therefore dipped your foot in the pool... ....which is more than i can say about anyone else that claimed they could . SO THANKS FOR THAT i know why people won't , but really, what's the big deal? what does a person have to loose, testing their system against randomness for comparison kicks and giggles. i sure don't care if my

NC Instant Ticket Players, good info for you and comments wanted
I am not surprised. In Tennessee, I have noticed sometimes store clerks will scan the ticket when I buy it (just like they scan any other product I buy), whereas others do not. This makes me wonder: 1. Are they scanning it just to 'ring up' the product like normal or 2. are they scanning it to determine if it is a winner or not or 3. are they NOT scanning it because it has already been scanned by them previously and they dont want to ring it up twice? I have long thought

Do you think the stock market play a part in the lottery?
No, but they are one in the same with one exception. Stocks can be purchased low and increase on their own while still based on that same low, initial invested because it's DEMAND-BASED and not fixed. Lottery games have fixed odds which do not fluctuate ever and thereby require the players to adjust the return profits themselves via carefully designed systems. A low buy in on lotto games will typically get you nowhere, in all reality, unless you're very lucky as so many here say...and this is
