Why the fervor over a winner being a quick pick or self pick?Reply
I myself would love to know if numbers for winning ticket were chosen by the customer, or by the quick pick system. But I might understand, why lottery organizers want to keep that information for themselves. in classic 6/49 game there are 13,983,816 possible tickets/combinations. and as most of the prizes are percentage points of a prize pool, (money being collected by lottery sale) it is quite easy to figure out number of tickets sold for each draw. With you there stack47 agree mate....I have won a first division prize of R380 000 thats approx $29 000 for 5 and bonus out 6 missing out 1 number for a 12 million win if my last number played along...closest I got in 30 years of playing. Thats also not too bad getting it playing with a small budget.....yet I dont want to brag about it as I only see it as a normal prize. Everyone here has good points. What would be most interesting to me--- is not whether it was the same person or not, but whether those 3 winning tickets were quick picks, or self picks. As I am sure some people know you can get a combination ticket where you pick one part of the number and let the machine do the rest. It depends how you fill out the slip. So for example I might have a favorite powerball number and pick that number on the slip but mark off quick pick for the remaining 5 numbers.=

PeerGynt, I think that it is gives you good indicators of what is to come. Most time you just work around the quick pick and you will find your number. I don't win alot with it but when the number comes out you can see that it is right there around that quick pick. I won on the 217 because of my quick pick. It was indicating that a 12 wanted to fall. I do buy 2 for each draw. Hope that helps. Good Luck

Thanks so much .. I was surprised with the 254.. my first time playing that much quick picks.. That's a good idea.. I think I will try doing quick picks for a month.. I always feel like it may be easier to hit on pick 3's instead of pick 4.. I'm going to stick with the 3 way with the quick picks... I mean it would be fantastic if I got a double double four way quick pick and won 400 for the night on 50 cents

Had he not let her go ahead of him, even if he would have bought a quick pick, he probably would not have won because quick picks are different from one microsecond to the next. That being said, his action did contribute to her getting the winning quick pick. So did the clerk who hit the quick pick button at exactly the right moment. And so on...
