Taxes
If the scratch off ticket has the sale price printed on it (I believe they generally do) and is visibly not a winner, it should suffice as a record of your loss. I am not a lawyer or tax expert. I suggest consulting a professional. You can clearly afford it.

N.C. Powerball winner target of $10M lawsuit by local pastor
NC only requires one party's consent to record any conversation, be it in person or by phone. How do you know this for certain??? Are you a licensed attorney in the state of North Carolina yourself ???

N.C. Powerball winner target of $10M lawsuit by local pastor
So this Pastor is giving Maria 3 options- all starting from a million dollars climbing. Tell you what Francis, if l was inclined to contribute towards your church, l would be purchasing the plot of land, you not going to hold any of the cash- end of story. Why on earth is he promising money to others when he himself has none? Btw- is it not illegal to record someone without their consent?

MM ticket sales for 2015 vs PB sales when it went to 1.5 billion
The ticket sales for the last 2 drawings of the record PB jackpot total was 2billion150million dollars. If i read it right ticket sales for the 104 MM drawings in 2015 were 2billion167million dollars. MM had one JP go to 270 mill another one hit 260 mill and one other one reach 200 mill. Part of this would have to do with the price of tickets and the fact that there biggest JP was for 270 mill and tickets sales were 52 mill for that drawing. Found this a bit interesting.

$63 million California Lottery jackpot expires Thursday
The California Lottery should offer a subscription service. It would be helpful for players, as the lottery would have a record of the ticket and player, if a prize is won. It would also be beneficial for the lottery, as it would generate additional revenue.

Would you quit playing altogether should you win a major jackpot...
Considering about 10% of the drawings in the last year produced a jackpot winner, all but a few players were losers. PB sales dropped $12 million from the starting jackpot after setting the record so it looks like lots of players quit playing. Do expect to win major jackpot?

What's your new Jackpot excitement level?
If players want a large jackpot, the can create one on any drawing. Had players bet the same $1,270,206,274 they bet on the $1.5 billion jackpot last night, the jackpot would be $632.1 million. It's ticket sales that produces the large jackpots and with all the what if's included, one winning ticket last night would be worth more than each winning ticket from the record jackpot.

Can the Lotter be trusted
4$ But I haven't used them before the record PB run and won't after unless it get's really high. Just too expensive to play regularly.

Post your scratch ticket results
I tried the record Powerball (even joined a pool), but very little success. Just a couple $4 winners. Win it All had a couple $20 wins and a couple losers lately. Not inspiring. And while Yahtzee is fun, have only had 2 $10 winners in 13 total tries. I wish at least some game made me want to buy it.

Record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot won by 3 tickets
the cash value is about $990 million. Divide that by the three of them, and then subtract the federal tax. Those 3 states don't; have any state tax. actually it's about $ 200 million each. my Calculation was off. but Gloria M still holds the record for $590 million.
