Small Jackpots vs Big Jackpots
I like to play all the jackpots that I have money to play for. So it does not matter to me the size but I only play Powerball and mega millions now. I want to be able to let my mother retire and help my sister and brother-in-law. Good luck to me tonight.-weshar75

Small Jackpots vs Big Jackpots
I clicked the $1-2 million, though my playing is not limited to that nor does that mean I don't like either the higher or smaller prizes. But the long and short of it is that it is a life changing event if I can stuff a million in my pocket, and the odds of winning a million are far better than the odds of winning $200 million. I'll play more money toward the lower jackpots such a $2 million.

How would you design a game so more people win?
NY has all kinds of lottery games with varying jackpot sizes and different odds of winning, check their website to see which games sell the most tickets. If you are one of the players not playing those games with the better odds and smaller jackpots then you know why others are doing the same.

Lottery Changed My Life Marathon
8 hour marathon starts at 1 pm on TLC. Some great episodes included in this marathon such as The Lucky 7 who won $315 million and got sued by co-workers, the street-sweepers who won $207 million and also got sued by co-workers, and Richard Lustigs method for winning 7 jackpots. Must see TV for a relaxing Sunday.

How would you design a game so more people win?
Games like Pick5 with better odds have winners all the time. Facts are they are so easy to win that their jackpots hardly ever go over $500K cash. If that $500K cash was used to buy a 30yrs annuity, it could be advertised as a million dollar jackpot, but most winners would probably prefer cash.

Whats funny is some clerk told me to buy the $5 scratchers today instead of the $20 ones I was playing. I asked why. She said they get more big winners on those then the $20 tickets as of late ... I passed on buying the $5 tickets because they had those sports games left which have no jackpots remaining.

another way to run big lotto jackpot
Years ago when Ohio Super Lotto had jackpots reaching $60M, they decided to limit the amount one ticket could win to $20M and people stopped playing it. That was before MegaMillions so the game attracted a lot of players from out of state. That rule only lasted about six months but by that time surrounding states had added PowerBall and Ohioans were going out of state to play it. Finally Ohio had to add MegaMillions to get Ohioans to stay in state to play their lottery games.
