Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
sirbrad,Congrats on your wins! I, too, enjoy watching the tumbling lottery balls. After all, computerized drawings are not really drawings at all -- they are just random numbers . What's the fun in telling a computer to pick some numbers? What's there for the player to enjoy?

"Taping" in advance & Conspiracy Theories
If you are so worried about fake drawings then support the elimination of computerized drawings. If PB were computer drawn you would have no idea how the numbers were chosen or if it was honest. It's far easier to cheat if the method of choosing numbers is an unknown.

That was weird!
All ball drawings go through test drawings. I doubt it will be a big deal at all. Just be thankfull you have ball drawings with minor porblems like that instead of computerized drawings like my state where you can have no trust in how the lottery draws anything.

No more systems disscussed
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Mine is that if you're talking about a state with real lottery ball machines (real drawings), then the idea that the lottery is going to change something based on knowledge of a system is ridiculous. There is nothing to change . However, if you're talking about a state using computerized drawings, then there is a big unknown there. Who really knows what goes on inside the computer? I certainly don't, and therefore I couldn't say someone's anxious

LottoMike,You bring up a good point. Now is the perfect time for North Carolina residents to start writing in mass numbers to their representatives (Senate, House, Governor) and tell them in no uncertain terms that you will not accept computerized drawings. Can you imagine waiting all that time, just to get fake drawings?

DC Lottery Drawings
I have contacted them about their computerized drawings, and brought the petition to their attention. They say they have no plans to change back to balls at the immediate moment. But if we all nag them, they might be open to swtiching back in the near future. If we start with DC, then Delaware, and then work our way up,we can re-ball America.

What's next for the N.C. lottery
The part that has me worried is: The commission will hire a director, who with approval of the commission, can hire an outside firm to operate the games. That means that they may hire an outside company that conducts computerized drawings.I think North Carolina residents cannot start their letter-writing campaigns to their representatives fast enough, to educate them about how computerized drawings will be terribly bad for North Carolina.I will certainly do my part. As soon as the new commissio

Todd For California Lottery Commissioner
Want to know the first thing I'd do? Look to get rid of the computerized drawings! Personally, I think the excitement generated by the media event of regular drawings, conducted in a roadshow around the state would make things really click for the state (or any state, for that matter). I think lotteries these days think about cutting costs as the best way to raise more money for the state, rather than focusing on the revenue side of the equation.I guess I'd have to compete with Dawn Nettles (T
