The $29.95 Non-Believerz
I would rather be a vending machine victim than a loser who hates the elderly and disabled (which I am neither).
Lotterologist has some haters on this board but he manages to say nice things every now and then.
You should be ashamed of yourself.

Vending machine or counter tickets??
I know the vending machine at a nearby supermarket can be opened by store personnel, and I'd imagine that almost all vending machines can be opened by the store they're in. I'd expect the store loads the tickets from the same batch used to load counter displays. In that case I can't imagine how there could possibly be a difference.
In NY there are vending machines (and lots of NY tourism stuff) at Thruway rest areas, and it's possible that those are loaded by lottery personnel. For those who

The lottery has made me lose myself, how can I save myself?
It's about self control. I sometimes refer to buying a lottery ticket as feeding the monster .
You can't overfeed the monster. I did for several years. But I also kept track of my spending. One year I spent over $2600 on lottery tickets. At the end of the year I realized how stupid it was and decided to reel it in. I have a budget that I keep. Just today at work I was leaving and walked by the lottery vending machine. I stopped and stared at the scratch offs for a minute and was about to pl

$1.08 billion Powerball lottery winner Yanira Alvarez filed claim for jackpot over five months ago
It depends on your state. You could email them and ask what to do in that situation. Tickets for draw games are time stamped pretty precisely, so I don't see how you'd get away with claiming one you didn't purchase. Scratchers are iffy because they're not timestamped, but they are serial numbered. What if you bought a bunch of scratchers at a vending machine and accidentally picked up another one someone else had left behind in the receptacle? Good questions.
Personally, I don't pick up lott

Accidental lottery ticket purchase nets Maryland couple $2 million in Powerball
Wow that's luck! $2mil is $2mil whether by accident or not. Congratulations to the winners.
I don't know if the lottery vending machines here can replay existing tickets. They can accept playslips, but I don't know if they replay. I've had clerks replay tickets a few times, but never tried it with a machine.
I wish them both well and hope they enjoy their winnings.

Thanks for all the info! We know about checking with the app, replaying the ticket....etc...The couple places I play at the clerks do not know how to generate that bet, what they do is they keep the tix that people replay for new tickets and use those to repeat the bet....I tried to recreate the bet on the vending machine but gave up I am going to try again and with the playslip because it has a $.10 wager amount on it....But check this out here is a playslip that says $.10 only for Superfecta b

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
So the original 10 tickets produced 3x $100 winners. Took those and recycled them to more tickets as well as added some more money to finish off a roll (mistake) and got 2 from a gas station which both won $100 back to back
so at the end of the day I actual am ahead by $100 thanks to this guy from the Publix vending machine. Went threw 20 tickets total
spent $700 and I now have $800 in winners to cash. Not often I end a day ahead!

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Still pretty small, I had been to Altamonte as well and this is marginally better. They open the doors at 8 and start calling numbers at 830. I got there at 830 and was number #10...was out the door at 930. Room was full when I left. There is NO vending machine in the Casselberry Office.
Also, found it interesting that most times I could hear the clerks saying congrats...you won $1K. There were a few times I couldn't hear but seems most were 1K winners. Let us know what you hear :)

California's 2022 lottery winners: A mystery billionaire and 100+ millionaires
I often wondered why so many lottery winners are in California, then I read this article. It seems that every store or venue that sells products also sell lottery tickets. I was surprised to learn that CVS also sells tickets. In my state I have never seen a lottery vending machine in a CVS. Walmart only recently added lottery vending machines. Only certain grocery stores have lottery vending machines as well.
I read a comment from someone months ago. The person said the Powerball and Mega M
