Indiana Lottery finds $13,000 mistake
This error occurred when the vendor entered an incorrect draw date identification number, a lottery news release said Wednesday.
I'm a little confused. When I buy a ticket for any lottery game, isn't the ticket always for the next draw unless I buy some advanced play tickets?
I guess vendor isn't the same as retailer? So they are saying that you might have won something, but the number was programmed for a different draw date? This is a little over my head technologically.

Tennessee Lottery glitch shuts out players
They couldn't possibly have tested the drawings and gotten multiple (let alone a single) doubles. The statement said the programmer hit u for unique instead of r for repeat. If this is a factual statement and this really is what happened, then it is absolutely impossible for a test drawing to have produced a repeat number.
We are suppossed to believe that a highly paid, professional programmer...who presumably does this for a living...made a fundamental mistake and simply hit the wrong

Tennessee Lottery computerized drawings flawed since inception
One other thing I thought of:
I thought the draw computers were supposed to be locked up, with no access from anyone other than the person who presses the button to generate the results? That's what they lead people to believe.
But apparently that's not the case, because some person ran a test on the draw computer, according to their e-mail (before the programming error was finally caught).
So I guess people DO have access to the machines.
I really hope everyone is getting this.

Can someone help me out with my math?
Your result is definitely wrong, but it's more than a simple math error. If you invested 141 million at 2.5% the annual earnings would be $3.525 million, so I'm guessing you got the 2.5% figure by starting with the 141 million and an annual income of $3.5 million then rounding the result to 2.5 (3.5/141=.0248). Since the annuity is from an investment of $65.6 million, a $3.5 million pre-tax income is what you'd get from a rate of 5.33% if you didn't collect any of the principal.

Tenn. Lottery players complaining over switch from numbered balls
No. Traditional drawings cannot be just as easily -- or as thoroughly -- manipulated as computerized drawings can.
If you read my postings (or a dozen other peoples') on this subject over the past month you would understand.
You can't SEE what is happening in a computer. There are infinite more ways that a computer could screw up the drawing.
Let's take, for example, a drawing screw-up. Everyone has seen a YouTube or Google video of lottery balls falling all over the floor when a dra

Florida Lottery won't pay $500,000 winner, called 'misprint'
A Florida newspaper wrote:
Annemarie Curcio said they were robbed.
My husband gave them a real $20 bill and they gave him a fake ticket, she said.
I agree with the above comments, and if the mistake isn't obvious, I think they should pay. However, there is a disclaimer stating the Lottery isn't responsible for misprints. Now this is where a boycott would really help!! We need gasoline, but everyone in FL could stop buying scratch tickets for a month and write letters protest

And then they don't have games that have shooting with helicopters and ships shooting at each other on the playstation and xbox..Most games are racing and people shooting, but not helicopter or ship shooting at other ships/helicopters/forts....
Why don't they have a software that can translate automatically all the languages in the world to the desired language...I am not talking the softwares that they try to sell you that claims they can translate from one language to the next yet they mis
