$290 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery rocket-ride
Being in a small town doesn't increase or decrease an individuals odds of winning. Sure, certain locations are more likely to contain a winner just because of the amount of people that play, but it doesn't have anything to do with the chances of the person winning. The only thing that will factor your chances against someone else is the dollar spent. But even still, there's jackpots won by people who spent $6 while groups that spent $800+ lost.

What is your lottery goal for 2011?
I started 2011 off on the right track. I did not play any Cash 3 or Play 4. Got to focus on the big jackpots.

$237 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised again
If you really want to play, take a road trip up to Georgia. Ohioan use to drive to all the surrounding states for tickets before MegaMillions and PowerBall came to Ohio and once it was shown the neighboring state was making money that Ohio could have been making, the lottery commission sought to bring those games to Ohio. One of the largest PB win went to a group of workers from Columbus, Ohio who traveled a hundred miles to Indiana for PB tickets regularly when the jackpots got large.

$237 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised again
Pure BS. If Richard knew what the winning #'s were, trust me, he would use the #'s to win for himself. He's won several Fantasy 5 and Mega Money Jackpots here in FL but never Florida Lotto or Florida Powerball. He has a book which he sells for $40.00 a pop, from which he uses the profits to buy more tickets!

$237 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised again
Although the number of jackpot winners hasn't exactly skyrocketed, I think the years with only 8-11 jackpot wins are over. That means gone are the days when we see jackpots worth nearly $400 million. It would have to be a pretty extreme fluke, I would think.

Christmastime battle over lottery jackpot
Lottery pools, in general, are a bad Idea. And if you do a pool, you should only do it for Powerball or Mega Millions Jackpots for well over 100 million dollars and not 16million (annuitized value BTW)

Ohio New Years Raffle
I'm in for a couple of tickets. Anyone know how many have been sold to date? My last purchase was 12/24 and they were at 296,2xx. Based on previous years I expected them to sell 400k of the 500k numbers but that might be tough with only a week to go. Perhaps the big jackpots for Ohio Classic Lotto and MM are pulling in Ohio lotto $$.

Merry Christmas indeed! Lucky N.Y. lottery player wins $49M
I think we both just have different thoughts on this. I really don't see a problem with the announced jackpot being about twice as much as the lump sum as they tell you it's the annuity amount (at least at the places I see the jackpot amounts) and also because any jackpot win would be enough for me so don't see an issue with jackpots not being high enough.

Pure unadulterated baloney from Steve Player
COIN TOSS Q. You are saying to play your system, up to 35 lines of numbers a draw, and the jackpots are being paid to people whoi put $1 on a quick pick, those are the stats, actual results. Of 149 jackpots paid in 358 draws 130 went to quick picks, and yet you advocate not playing quick picks. Now tell us again why I should play your system or any system instead of a QP. First of all I don't play that much for the Daily games and as I mentioned before I don't acutally use the sy

Pure unadulterated baloney from Steve Player
joker17, I get it, I'm not sure you do. The systrem sellers are telling you to use their techniques and the money is going to those who played a quick pick. It doesn't matter why they played a quick pick. You kow I've tracked this game jackpot by jackpot for three years joker, and the results are very consistent. For Steve Player or any other system seller or advocate: Q. You are saying to play your system, up to 35 lines of numbers a draw, and the jackpots are being paid to people whoi
