I hate QP's?
I'm really starting to believe what ryanm said in the post two above this one, about being destined to win making it not matter whether you pick numbers or get a quick pick....which is also leading me to believe if you're not destined to hit it just isn't happening no matter what.
Mrs Coin Toss looks at this board every so often and says she gets a kick out of all of us trying to plot numbers, etc...only to read that someone hit on a Quick Pick most of the time.

Mistakes
The woman almost missed out on her big win because of a clerk error but in turn this error is what actually provided her with the winning numbers. I always buy a $3 quick pick but the clerk only printed a $2 ticket. I said that was fine but the clerk insisted I take an additional $1 quick pick. The $1 quick pick turned out to be the winning ticket. That was the best decision I've ever made, the winner told lottery officials. Said the $13.5 million dollar powerball winner. (Actually $5,340,727

The most important question on LP
Bob,You've hit my point exactly. Is a quick pick the number force-fed to you from the lottery terminal or is it a 'smart' quick pick that eliminates numbers but still uses a random choice among your numbers and a combo that your RNG picks and not their's?I believe RJOH uses the same technique.....random numbers that you pick from your subset of numbers. Could be wrong on that, but I'm pretty sure he does something similar. The crucial part to the idea is lowering your odds. Even by eliminating th

Quickpick or QuickRIP?
Who cares or why does it matter. The Last MM winner was a quick pick, single winner. The last PP was a Quick Pick, single winner (albiet a family thing). The list is full of both. The only thing that counts is the win. It is all luck. It is like debating whether the lottery is a game or gambling (For the official record, the IRS defines it as gambling.).The majority of players don't even know how to fill out a slip, or what the purpose is. They walk in and buy a Quick Pick because it is eas

Powerball QP's
I use both the lottery terminal QP's and the Lottery Post Quick Picks Random Number Generator (RNG).As for if it would be better to get a fresh QP every single time, or keep playing the same old QP's that still have not yet come up, I usually play the QP's for several draws because I buy multi draws (no lottery in Alabama). However, I rarely replay those quick pick numbers. I select new ones on the next trip to a lottery state. In my opinion, if you replay QP's, they are no longer QP's but selec

Man let lottery winner go first
Regardless of whom was in line the fact is it coulda been someone in another store that got the winning ticket depending on how many people were purchasing tickets at that time. In other words when you ask for a quick pick and hundreds of people are at other terminals the quick pick tickets are being generated at the same time it's quite possible that at the millisecond that the cashier punched the button for the quick pick that winning ticket was generated. A few milliseconds before or after th

I voted 3/4. But I don't like quick picks for 3 digit games. Hard enough to pick and win with my own numbers so letting a generator pick numbers for me just don't cut it. A lot of people i know play q picks and rarely win. It seems the quickpicks are mainly the same numbers that came out the draw before or the draw before that and contain 2 of the same numbers. So i can do that without buying a quick pick. Now i have heard Todd has done well with q picks when he buys like 5 numbers on the same t

I just broke the mold on quick picks
Quote: Originally posted by Rick G on November 20, 2004I just got back from buying my 5/39 quck pick and I have to share this with you. The machine gave me 5 consecutive digits. There are only 34 consecutive combinations out of a possible 575,757 combinations. I bought another quick pick to cover my bases. This was worth the price of the ticket and I think I'll tuck it under my box of Lucky Charms.Has this ever happened to anyone else?I seldom if ever buy quick picks, so no, But I note that

I Pray.. For a wind fall.
Enterprise,Many of us in here are struggling to make ends meet on a daily basis. The lottery is not an answer to that struggle. But a daily $1 quick pick for the jackpot you need (which looks to be a pick 5 game jackpot) gives you hope without too much of a loss. And I'd let good luck play a role....choose a quick pick and ONLY PLAY THAT ONE. Concentrate on improving your luck with the right attitude. You CAN do it!Good luck and we are all rooting for you!
