Random Number Generators... ?
When a program is written, any seed number can be entered by the programmer for testing, however after program is completed, a routine may be included to get a random seed from the computer clock. If Excel doesn't give you the option of entering your own seed then it probably use the computer clock. Check your manual, it may have a way for you to formulate your own seed for testing.RJOh

Something I found Interest Lotto Pro
The odds of any combination matching 2's or 3's in Powerball/Megamillions is 1:16/17 and 1:240/254. If you use 10 drawings, those odds are reduced by a factor of 10. Use 10 random combinations(5 of 52/53) from anywhere and you should get similar results.RJOh

Optimum # of Previous Draws... ??
Look at it this way T.C.,Nobody can afford to empty the whole pool, so why try? The MUSL is only going to take one drop out of the pool, the player just have to come close or match that drop. With over 120M drops, you going to have to be lucky to come close no matter how many drops you select, but there is hope because there are more than 1.7M drops that are close enough to pay back 3x or more the cost of one drop.RJOh

Delta System
The Delta system, is that system similar to that 'What-you-mc-call-it' system? Seem like a lot of people are comimg up with fancy names for RNG's(random numbers generators), adding some data history and putting it all in a software package and trying to sell it as a system.RJOh

Optimum # of Previous Draws... ??
You don't need any fancy math for the answer to your questions. You can count the past drawings and you will see for the last 73 drawings(since Powerball changed) all five numbers in the core combinations had appeared in the previous 6-47 drawings with most of them between 12-31. It really depends on the amount of numbers you wish to put in the mix.RJOh

One Number Mega Millions Fun!
Short of playing 48 numbers, there is no gaurantee that you will have one of the winning numbers in your combinations. In Megamillions, the longest a drawing has gone without repeating one the numbers in a previous drawing is 9 draws and for 2 is 10 draws, so if you play all the numbers in the last 9 drawings, you will most likely have one of more numbers.RJOh

How long do you bet your numbers?
In very few lotteries does a combination repeat, so when most numbers win, they have been a loser up to then and will be mostly a loser there after. A number that has been a loser during the whole life of the lottery, will be the next winner, so you really can't set a time limit on any number until it wins and then it might be one of those really rare repeaters.RJOh

One Number Mega Millions Fun!
To Loops,52 numbers have 2,598,960 combinations of 5's.13 numbers have 1,287 combinations of 5's.Play all 1,287 combinations and your chances of matching zero is 1:1.69. There would be 1,533,939 losing combinations out of 2,598,960 possible combinations. It's unlikely they could do that bad twice without a little luck (bad luck).RJOh

Buckeye 5~6/12
To Teufellj,Thanks for your reply. I haven't played the Buckeye5 lately, but I am always interest in any new ideas as the logic for any pick5 game might be applied to Megamillions and Powerball lotteries. I have notice in Megamillions that for 50 of the 113 draws the winnings numbers had 3 numbers from the 6 previous draws, so I will be checking if this may also apply to other pick5 games.RJOh

The Ultimate Cash vs. Annuity Poll
Some players reduce those odds by buying more than one ticket. For example the guy in West Virginia that won the Powerball last Christmas bought 100 tickets and the guy in North Carolina that won Megamillions bought 60 tickets. Some people just don't like a level playing field, they will do anything to get an edge, even use software to pick their own numbers.RJOh
