Would make for an interesting test. BobPWell, that's the program I started 5 drawings ago. Come back in about 11 months, and I'll know. Check my blog for the progress.

States Using RNGs.
Jim695If you believe the total payout for Pick 3 or Pick 4 is too low then a line of inquiry would be to look at the breakdown for payouts especially the 4-Way and 6-Way. If these are higher than other States then that would suggest the Quick Picks being played have a higher percentage of 4-Way and 6-Way numbers. Dollie has just confirmed in a Pick 4 thread I started that they are pretty scarce. The Histories look OK which means a satisfactory algorithm is being used. Who knows what is being used

mega millions easy pick VS your own pick
From what I have gathered, most people let the computer pick their numbers. Plus, from the winner stories I have read, most of the winners won this way, just like most of the winners won purchasing five or less tickets. I feel quick picks work best for me because I have tried to pick numbers on my own, and have had nothing but bad luck (sometimes I will get 2 out of 6..lol)You mentioned MEGA MILLIONS....I just got several quick pick tickets for several draws (multi draws) and I have my fingers c

Best way to predict numbers
Quote: Originally posted by prob987 on April 08, 2004I wrote a program many years ago that maximizes, for the number of tickets purchased, the percentage of (x,y) pairs represented in the universe of such possible pairs.I go forward in the realization that people who claim to predict numbers succeed only through the same dumb luck as do pick quick buyers.Hmm, good point. Since any lotto draw is based on pure random draws, it would seem that a quick pick would be just as accurate. Has this b

Mega Millions Drawing 9/5/03
What ever makes one happy, weather it be picking your own numbers by your own strategies or having a computer chose your numbers for you, your always in the game if you play. Any kind of strategies or Quick Pick numbers are the same, however, for me, its a lot more fun to sit down and think of what I chose to play and to wheel my numbers I pick from my strategies. I can lose and win both ways, with my strategies or Quick Picks, its just about luck. I will say this though, at least every other d

Visiondude is right on the money !!
After that January 15th drawing, I used about $56 of the $100 for the very next drawing, and the rest for the money for drawing afterwards. I played mostly the same numbers on both drawings (I filled out a lot of those play slips where you fill in your numbers). I played the same numbers that I originally had as quick picks when I first played them. But I stuck with those same numbers anyway. Both times, I only ended up with around $17 and $20. I guess that it wasn't my turn. I have been playing
