Had I played my selections I would have spent $20 and won $10 for a loss of $10, but if I had played powerplay I would have spent $40 and won $50 for a gain of $10. In the future, I may have to consider the powerplay in my strategy. RJOh

Mega Millions getting boringReply
A few years ago, there was a couple in Cincinnati that won the Ohio lottery with two tickets, but it was due to a mix-up. They played their kids' and grandkids' birthdates and each thought it was their responsible to buy the tickets, so each bought tickets that won. Neither had to split their winnings with their spouse.RJOh

Everybody doesn't win when it get to $50M because I haven't won yet. A jackpots of $50M isn't bad for a $1 ticket or $10 worth of tickets. When the jackpots get to over $100M, they do create a lot of interests and attact players out of the regular playing area, but $50M is plenty to attract local players. Now that Megamillions and Powerball are in more states, they don't need the big jackpots to attract enough players to cover a good percent of the possible combinations.RJOh
