I do not play jackpot games because their lower-tier prize payouts are very unfair. I would consider playing them again only if the prize is at least 25% of the odds - I don't care if the jackpots are lower. I play only the Pick-3 and the Pick-4.

Texas lotto is a tough game! It's hard to win anything. Most jackpots seem to be won in Houston most of the time. I still keep trying. (Maybe one day it could be me!) Best of luck to all who does try at this difficult game!

I don't know Rosie............. I think the more people play, the bigger the jackpots, do you not like ambitious people that work and play hard? Is there something wrong with accumulating wealth and gambling some away for the schools? No one should be excluded from playing, especially people that CAN afford to play. The people that probably shouldn't gamble are the ones that CANNOT afford to, and are hoping somehow that the next big hit will fix everything.

That last paragraph- is that fer sure? I mean really fer sure that the RNG is local to the terminal? I was under the impression the QP s were generated and loaded remotely to the terminal and were replaced as needed by sales. How would 16,000 terminals keep from the event of printing several jackpots before exhausting the entire pool? Anybody know if QP s split jackpots on small QP sales? Thanks. I like this system too. If say they could freeze the jackpots at $100M and let the second tier prizes all earn $1M that would be awesome. It ain't gonna happen anytime soon :-)

I wondered about that too. If they change the matrix to make it harder, or increase the cost of a ticket to $2 (without a megaplier/powerplay) I think they would just have 2 draws a week. If they make it too expensive or too hard to win (like it's not too hard now, LOL), there is the risk of people just moving on to games with lower odds and jackpots.

A group of smart individuals instead of playing lottery is simply asking for donations. Unlike lottery jackpots those donations may not even be taxable.

That information is available here on LP. Go to worldwide Jackpots on the lefthand column. click on powerball , then click on game information on the drop down menu. it will list all the participating states. the same can be done for mega millions.
