Elderly Detroit man who recently won lottery missing
They'll find him dead or alive. Sometimes people with no good in mind aren't too careful about who is watching when they do their dirty deeds. If something happened to him over $20k, that's very sad and shameful. The article said he disappeared on his way to collect his winnings. Cameras will show if he had anyone with him and records will show who completed the paperwork. I hope if someone did him in and has the ticket expecting to cash in, that their plans are yanked away from t

Why are the Systems failing?
they would shut it down because other players would be pissed. Just look at what happened in Massachusetts when it became known a Michigan couple were coming to their state regularly to spend $300K playing their WindFall game when it rolled back and making a profit. Not necessarily and I say this for one main reason...the amount of money being spent and prize being won. Of course, any state would put limits and/or shut down a person or people that have mastered how to profit MILLIONS per sho

Poll: New National Game October 19th - Will You Play?
It looks like Monopoly Millionaires' Club losing money has caught the attention of the media. I read an article in the Indianapolis Business Journal about the lottery losing money and the burden it will put on their private vendor if it doesn't succeed. The lottery cannot be happy about this at all. (Internally, they are obsessed with mentions in the press they literally track every news story posted, date etc. They have even started relying on the media to drive sales for record jackpots.) I

Audit: Stores buying Michigan lottery tickets from players
I did read the rest of your post and started wondering if we're discussing the same thing. If the average prize is about $3000, Federal law requires the Michigan Lottery to issue a W2-G for prizes over $600. In Michigan players with winning tickets valued $601 to $50,000 must go to a regional office, lottery headquarters, or a designated bank in the Northern part of the state and the Upper Peninsula. If you, me, a lottery retailer, or anybody buys a ticket valued over $601 at a discount, to coll

~Why People Aren't Buying Lottery Tickets ??
In another thread we're deciding if MM sales higher, lower, or flat, but I came to the conclusion with the effect of changes in that game, changes in PB, the new Monopoly game, the size of either game's jackpots and other contributing factors, overall sales of all games is the only way to tell. If lottery sales are down in Maryland, there must be a contributing factor which I'm guessing is their casinos. A side note, here in Tx PB sales are down, as they also mentioned in the article about M

Ridge & D Pole Kats POLL
I was goofing off last night, waiting on the MM results and found this article from nearly a yr. ago: How to invest your Mega Millions Some of the comments are really funny and as almost always is the case, some folks didn't grasp the sarcasm. (about sticking it all in a huge mattress). This post caught my eye and I checked the guy's FB page to see if it might be Ridge. Doesn't look like it, but it sure sounds like something he'd say: 100 acres in Tennessee to build a rec

Hw hrd zit 2sy, "Sorry I can't." to people u knew hu borrw bg sums of money from u, nw that ur rich?
Good day everybody! I read an article a long time ago, saying that one of the biggest reasons people who won the lottery get broke again or commit suicide is because, once you have won the 'Big One,' it gets hard to say no to poor desperate people, who are pleading, help, help, help. And imagine how hard it would be for you to say 'No.' or 'Sorry I can't.' How true this is... One of those stories that break my heart , is the pentecoastal 'preacher.' Who ended up committing suicide (i

Is this legal?
Well Stack I see you still get you jollies by trying to vivisect other people's posts. Must be awful to be that insecure. I did read the article (duh, I posted it, nicht var?). Most of the people I've seen trying to sell squares in pools are looking for think-they-know-it all chumps (gee that has a familiar ring to it) and are trying to get them to buy the worse squares. And for your information, where sports betting is legal 13 run baseball pools are far more popular.

NJ casino alleges famous poker player cheated in $9.6M win
Sam Rothstein would have known. The problem with heist movies is they dont have good understanding of physics. There always seems to be a small asian guy who happens to defy gravity. I did take a look back at the article and I can see the defect now. It happens that the background was not uniformly bisected in all the templates. It was off by perhaps 6 pixels are so. In the Kevin Spacey movie, maybe that was something that wasn't mentioned, but they were also improvising with.
