Damn, I keep putting all the right numbers on the wrong lines...
I would be happy if I could come up with pool of 20 numbers that had all 5 winning numbers most of the time. I think it will be likely to have at least 3 of the winning numbers on the same line at least once with 20-25 lines.

Lawyer in $315 million lottery lawsuits ordered to pay fine
The item in the article I found very interesting was that the defendants ... contend it was their first time they took part in the office pool. Therefore how it would have been very difficult to prove there was an oral agreement that everyone would be included whenever they pooled their money to buy ticket. That may have been why the judge took the action he did. Had there been a history of purchases with a patttern of activity developed, it might have been different.

To filter or not to filter?
Here's how I would play it. I'd pick my pool of 15 numbers and randomly pick my 13 lines using only those 15 numbers. The only filtering I would apply is ALL high/low, odd/even. I think it works as good, or better than a wheel.

What is your ticket checking ritual?
I think that if I can scream my numbers out loud enough they will fall needless to say I get louder and louder, now the nieghbors know it's to late for the Titans to be playing football, so I'm sure they think I am some kind of nutcase, during the season I scream curse words at the refs and Jeff Fischer, who has chosen to not follow my coaching advise, had he done so we would have won the superbowl, I think they have a pool going to see why I yell out numbers, sometimes it works.Smile.

Realities of winning the lottery
These figures assume that the lottery pool is playing 65,000different combinations with no duplicates. But even with no efforts to ensure that each combo is different, I calculate that only about 12 or 13 duplicates would actually exist in 65,000 totally random picks.

Realities of winning the lottery
Are these figures based on each player randomly picking their own numbers with no effort to avoid duplicates or numbers that have already hit? If they are then that would suggest that a pool of people could increase their odds of winning with a strategy. Picking duplicates won't increase the odds of winning a jackpot and combinations of five or greater seldom repeat. Since all LP members are allowed to post at least 10 lines per game a group could test those theory on the prediction board and

Are you for or against PowerBall's "side pool"?
I am FOR it as long as it only applies to record jackpot levels.. I would not want the 25M increase limit to be on all drawings, and I like the idea that a 5 of 6 PB could be a better play than a similar Cash-5. The downside is that if you want to ever see a 500M Powerball this will not help. Maybe the Side Pool should also apply to lower prizes i.e. $5 for a BB-only match or for 2 #s a free play.

$355 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased
When PowerBall gets to a record level, it only increases by $25M thereafter, and the rest from sales goes into a side pool for the 5+0 winners. I wonder if Mega Millions would do something similiar.

Tomorrow Combinations to Avoid
That won't help me either, I've already tested a system that reduces the number pool by 25% and have 4 or more of the winning numbers 74% of the time and I'm lucky if I can get even three of them in the same line playing twenty lines. Thanks anyway and good luck to you.
