Federal officials work to extradite Jamaican lottery scammers
Jamaican lottery scammer Sanjay Williams got off a plane in Charlotte, North Carolina, in June 2013, on his way to meet with the people who moved money for him. He was promptly arrested by U.S. law enforcement authorities, convicted in May and sentenced to 20 years in a U.S. prison.
While the arrest on American soil spared authorities from extraditing Williams, rounding up his associate in the wide-ranging operation and 13 other suspects still believed to be in Jamaica is proving to be more o

Man arraigned in lottery winner's death
It was a cold case that some said might never be solved: An elderly Detroit man, whose family said he'd won $20,000 in a lottery game, was found frozen rock-solid in a vacant house after going missing Dec. 20.
But Detroit police made an arrest just days after finding the body Sunday, Feb. 1, of 86-year-old Arthur Weldon Neal, covered up in the basement of a derelict home in the 15800 block of Mansfield near Fenkell and the Southfield Freeway, in northwest Detroit.

The Arkansas Lottery Commission is denying allegations that it deliberately sold unsecure tickets that had a design defect that could easily lead to potential tampering.
Assistant Attorney General Mark Ohrenberger submitted the statements Friday in legal papers in response to a lawsuit filed by a Little Rock man who claims he bought two $20 Arkansas Millionaires Club tickets that had been damaged.
State officials also disputed claims that the agency deliberately allowed flawed tickets to r

Judge rules man has no right to ex-girlfriend's lottery winnings
You are too nice.
Had that been me, they would still be wondering where all of their stuff is.
I would have had all of the utilities temporarily turned off and stayed with a friend or in a hotel until they left.
Try living in a place with no electricity, no water, no gas, and everytime you look up all your stuff has been shipped off to goodwill.
Yes, I will give your stuff away and could care less about you being mad.
I will ramble through all your stuff and pawn anything of value
