Pa. lawmaker wants to give lottery winners right to remain anonymous
That maks absolutely no sense whatsoever. Well, when you receive a tax refund it's you getting money back from the same corrupt government, Why don't we start taking out pages in the newspapaer and letting everyone know how much you got back from them to keep things transparent and let us all know if they are being honest or not.
The lottery is audited by an INDEPENDENT 3rd party. By the very definition, it means that they are an outside entity that checks on what is reported. Or did you mis

TAX... lower tier prizes
I think it must be confusing, because we see tax questions every other week it seems. Maybe LP needs a place for sticky topics and guides, written by members, approved by staff, that could possibly go in the help section or someplace for common lottery questions.
I think most people are confused between winnings and income, and between reporting and withholding.
Winnings $600 or above are reported to the IRS. Winnings above $5000 are subject to automatic 25% withholding in addition to repo

Rl's daily game software
Hi all
I just updated my MO games and noticed that the mid-day and eveing drawings were both 0-7-0.
I know that the odds are 1 in 1000 and it never increases or decreases but I find it a little weird
that it happened in the next drawing after CW's above post. It would be nice to view the videos
made inside that little glass room, maybe some day we should demand a audit.

Public information
Since lotteries are run by government, shouldn't the preparation process be publicly available as well?
I saw the video for Power ball and kept on thinking. Here are the facts that I can't get out of the head. It turns out to be, that they run 4 tests before the drawing and one test after the drawing. Besides that, there are 4 machines that they use. Fine, this is what they do, they might have their reasons for it, but since its run by the government, shouldn't that information be availa

Are pre-draws corrupting your lottery strategy ?
Sarcasm ?
Do this then : run your stats from your program and see how they stack up against the ouija board results.
There are those in the mystical forum who might lean towards ummm, welll you know where and have valid reasonings towards such.
Honestly though, you dont trust the government anymore than i do so why dont you just admit it.....are you just going to trust the IRS not to audit you and walk around all patriotic and submissive to your own downfall ?
The powers that be woul

Are pre-draws corrupting your lottery strategy ?
Reallly ?
Then why do soooo many players believe that the machines have to be tested 4-6 times a day ?
is releasing to the public what combinations they choose cheating ?
really what would be the difference ?
what we need is an independent audit looking into why governor Bev Perdue borrowed out of the state lottery fund given how this was supposed to be out of bounds for this kind of intervention.
dont trust the government jap cause they'll let you down everytime and they are virt

stupid lottery questions.
Welcome to Lottery Post! Hope you find these forums useful for game stradegy or just some feedback.
1: Banks require electronic transfer when dealing with amounts over 250,000. Thus the State lottery would have to do the transfer to a verified account within the United States. If from out of country winner, same rule applies it must transfer to a State account Held by an executor and then from there thru the International banking System.
2: Safes can be built and firproofed as well noted b

Vt. Lottery computer glitch creates extra winners
Quick Picks are bogus!
I know of examples where identical tickets were sold in other states and they were losers. The system-wide error is built into the distribution and when you can have multiple winners, you can have multiple losers with identical sets of numbers in play for the same drawing. The terminals are pre-loaded with QP s from the central office. There is only the idea that when the QP s are sold there are no repeats of sets until the entire pool of combinations is exhausted. That

There is No Information on the Net about scratchoffs everything is ball lotteries
There's a distinct difference between scratch-offs and draw lotteries. With a draw lottery, numbers are chosen by the customer and the draw is random, public auditing and televising the draw assures the public that the draw is random. With scratch-offs, the tickets are printed on sheets, folded and cut into rolls, the rolls are then shuffled amongst themselves mechanically and distributed in an audit-able procedure to assure the public that no given pack is sent to an intentional destination, th

ARe Hackers 1 step ahead in the lotto??I always had a hunch..
I do find the transition to computerized draws disturbing because of the lack of transparency. There are ways to safeguard against tampering, the computer image could be securely kept and the MD5 checksum of it widely published. Indeed the software should be available for download and auditing in source code form. The machine used to run the software can also be securely kept and shouldn't be networked. The checksum of the software and the condition of the machine can be verified by an independe
