Hmm, that is a little peculiar. I must have made an error in my back-of-the-napkin stats workup, because I have an even-odds expectation of 11 days which is much shorter than your 15 days. Reality doesn't lie, I must have made (another) bonehead math error somewhere. I have to go, but I'll try to remember to take another look at this when I get home, because my calculated expectation is off by too much. Meanwhile, here's my $500 question. Do series numbers cluster?

Anytime computers and networking is involved, there's always room for hanky panky. As an IT admin, with enterprise rights, anything can be done and all these lotteries are networked. Exactly my thoughts. If the doctor had a winning ticket of more than $600 that he must redeem at a Florida Lottery office prior to September, then his name and address was saved in The Florida Lottery's database. When The Jackpot Winners and Retailer Information Report was created in September, it's very plausible that his name was placed on the report either by a software program error or it was manually put on the report in error by someone that works at The Fla Lottery. It was an accident I'm sure. NY216 posts the winning numbers for Florida and NY. He/she probably didn't realized the error. It was most likely a cut and paste error. He/she is always on target.
