If I am in a hurry I get a quick pick. But most of the time I like to play my own numbers, it's part of the fun. No wonder so many win with quick picks because most of the players use them I would say. I think that maybe 5 to 10 percent of the lottery players pick their own number is my guess. Out of many I have seen buying tickets I have only seen one person filling out his own numbers.

Sorry I calculated wrong. Actually the odds are much greater, because to pick the correct 3 out of 36 is 36x35x34=42,840 which of course is still better than 1 in 376,992. Which are such long shots you might as just as well save your money or buy a quick pick. Most lottery's are won with quick picks anyways.

Yep the ones I just posted are all quick picks I got this afternoon... I never play that many quick pick 4's or quick pick 3's in one drawing before.. I thought I experiment a little and see could I hit at random with 20 dollars worth of quick picks for a midday and evening draw.. all box 50 cents worth..

When I said only a quick pick , I am talking about with the new matrix. People who have been doing self picks had to now consider 1-75 numbers. Of course someone can win with their own numbers. Ronald Willis won before the changes to Mega Millions. There is a reason why no one has won yet with the new matrix. Because MUSL will need to sell almost all combinations to produce 1 winner. That is why it will take a quick pick IMO. I can't wait to come to this thread when the sole winner wins with a quick pick.
