If Your State Had Both Powerball and Mega MillionsReply
As the games are set up now, states only get revenues generated by tickets sales in their states. States contribute a third of their tickets sales to both the MegaMillions and PowerBall jackpots and pay all other prizes out of money earned locally in their state. The only thing the states share in a multi-state game is the cost of the jackpot and if no one in their state wins it, they are shipping a third of their ticket sales to the states that have the winners.

It's true lottery players in more populated areas win more often then those is less populated areas. Ohio gets its share or MegaMillions winners and most live in or near the larger cities like Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus and Cleveland. Heck, even Ohioans driving out of state to buy PowerBall tickets that win big are usually from those areas, the Ohioans I remember winning PB jackpots with tickets bought in Indiana were from Dayton and Columbus.

If you check you'll see that west coast states have won 2.33 jackpots this year. Almost 24%...Its all in the stats.....25% of ticket sales/24% of the wins....

what would had been even better since we dont have a Lotto911 system would be to let an association/company win the Pick5 jackpots, claim them and send them through mail to the most needed and charge them a fee...The fee could be: $10,000 who know...That will had been the best, kind of like Santa...Since they dont want to spill out their secrets...

If you've ever played PowerBall or MegaMillions when their jackpots were $100M+ and you would have been happy to match 5+0 for $200K or $250K then any time you want to play those games it's time to play.

I just got an email response from nj lotto. they state its a matter of public record anyone can check who the winners are, also it can be a requirement to do a press conference if you win. that about sums it up. Maybe its for the best playing for small jackpots under a mil.

I'm retired so my working days are over. Ohio Rolling Cash5 has had jackpots of $400K+ and the odds of winning it are 1:575,757 so it doesn't make sense to chase a $500K prize with odds of 1:13,983,818 when I can wait for RC5 to roll a few times and get better odds on the same size prize. Besides the odds of winning my dollar back with OCL are worst than those of MM.

Missouri couple captures $4.4M lottery ticketReply
Congratulations, you make a hansom couple. I used to live in Missouri and I loved to play powerball there. There were 2 jackpots sold within a block of me in opposite directions. Each time I bought my ticket in the other store. Now I live in Ohio and a huge powerball jackpot was sold one block from where I bought my ticket. Close but no cigar.

If I won I would not want to broadcast it to anyone, I usually buy tickets that don't offer big jackpots for this reason. to get a lawyer and do an LLC or trust is first you have to find a trustworthy lawyer and thats a tough search. other problems are your job and relatives. I could never do a press conference.

ALSO, sometimes, the mega million numbers just does odd things, where none of the numbers they pull make sense, and this is normal! i notice with the powerball game that they have a lot of funny numbers they pull which never makes sense to me, but i will conitinue to work on it! i still believe, that both jackpots, are not putting all the numbers in there drawing machines, therefore controlling what numbers they don't want to come out! but it's just my opinion! they are in this to make money, no
