I just noticed that four of the white balls in this weeks PB and MM were one-off. The other white ball was oh-so-close to being one off, and the multiplier was one off. Just another if you wait long enough, anything can happen?

I refuse to play Powerball or Mega Millions, and will continue to refuse to play them, until lower-tier prize payouts are substantially increased. With many of their lower-tier prize payouts, I can win more with better odds playing Pick-3 or Pick-4. I think the last time I played Mega Millions or Powerball was in January 2011, and that was only because my birthday coincided with a record or near-record jackpot.

The correct answer is that in Mega Millions, second prize does get multiplied just like any of the other non-jackpot prizes when the Megaplier is purchased. In Powerball, second prize is always a 2x multiplier if the Power Play is purchased, whereas all the other non-jackpot prizes are multiplied by the Power Play number. Jan 29, 2021 Mega Millions Big Winner w/ a Match 5 for $1 million prize was in Michigan. I didn't say jackpot I just said another Mega Millions winner with a strong probability they are from Michigan. While, it wasn't the jackpot, I don't think you or anyone would cry about winning $1 million. I think you'd also consider yourself a Mega Millions winner. This isn't birthday numbers.

I am still trying to figure out why the current Powerball game is better than the current Mega Millions. Even though I didn't have a ticket for the draw I did get excited by all the Powerball winners.
