Something stinks with Powerball
it seems pennsylvania wins most of the 5 of 5 jackpots.we are educating everyone highly with our taxes, and some of them become crooks into whatever financial area they can exploit,banks,lotteries,governments,etc..remember it's not money that is a sin,but the love of money.

Calif. man with 3 jobs wins $39M lottery jackpot
Obviously you haven't read anything about how lottery jackpots are paid and the options winners have. First the jackpot was the amount its cash value would pay over 25yrs or longer if invested in an annuity. The winner has the option of taking his money that way or taking its cash value. If he choose the latter then local, state and federal taxes will be withheld and he will receive a check for what's left.

How Many State Lotteries Have You Played?
I've only played the local state lottery although I played the multi-state lotteries in both Indiana and Michigan before MegaMillions came to Ohio. Since most state lotteries have similar matrices, jackpots and odds of winning, there is no advantage to playing one out of state unless I happen to be visiting there and feel lucky.

Quick decision: New Ark. Lottery chief recommends Powerball
A lot of people claim they would prefer that PowerBall and MegaMillions had better odds and more winners of smaller millionaires jackpots and most states have a local game that does that but they don't attract near the number of players that the big jackpot multi=state games do.

Lottery winners broke, busted
I thought NY pays annuities for scratchoff jackpots? If I'm correct then how can the brother be broke and the annuities go on for like 20 years?

Jackpot Fever
It is fascinating to see hot large jackpots affect people. Last Tuesday, as I was going home, I noticed many newsagents along the way were very busy. It couldn't be for newspapers at that time of the day? No, Oz Lotto had jackpotted to $50 Million. The jackpot wasn't won will be over $90 Million next Tuesday.

Displayed on TV vs Put on the Website
Ohio usually takes 30-45 minutes to post local lottery results with payouts and new jackpots amounts. They usually post MegaMillions drawing results within 5-10 minutes of drawing and post new jackpot amount an hour or two later.

IL Senator again pushes for online lottery ticket sales
It is very very legal. I see all the time people from one state winning jackpots in neighbouring states. You have to make a trip to those states though.
