Store clerk busted trying to scam undercover lottery investigator
I wouldn't take that as a clerk has your ticket. He could have mistakenly handed your ticket to the next customer or the ticket could of fell out after you exit the store. I think the fraud occurs when the ticket you hand them after the draw date is a winner and the clerk decide to jip you. Thoughts?

Synchronized multi-state lottery jackpots increase to combined $878 million
Can you imagine the level of scrutiny given to someone who won both? I bet one or both lotteries would claim fraud and find a way to not pay.

Georgia Lottery denies millions in prizes to winners of scratch-off games
I think all Patel's should be banned from playing the lottery all together due to high risk with that name plus listed in no fly too lol based on fraud data with all Patel's lol

Anyone else hate that some states won't let winners remain anonymous?
How would that be any harder than a lottery official hiring a person to claim a prize? Just because you see a person give an interview doesn't make the process of transparency any more legitimate. It all comes down to the auditors and the IT personnel. Those are the ONLY people that stop the lotteries from being a free-for-all scam. If you rely on a name and photo to give lottery winners legitimacy then you're incredibly naive. I know that I'm privy to a lot of things the general public isn't wh

New York seizes $20 million in lottery prizes from people on public assistance
I remember that story. She won $1 million, then couldn't understand why everyone was up in arms about her still using food stamps. I think she died of a drug overdose not long after she was charged with welfare fraud. Sad.

Lottery jackpot rigger's Iowa convictions dismissed
It is way more than fraud. I say 20 years. His actions had an effect in trust in the lottery system as well. This was also repeat criminal conduct that went on for years.

Lottery jackpot rigger's Iowa convictions dismissed
Don't think he will do much time. It's not like he murdered someone anyway. Fraud will perhaps give him 5-10 years in prison.

The 5 lottery jackpots Tipton and his friends stole
Good question - that person was defrauded of $3 million. I would think the next real jackpot winner after the fraud jackpots would also feel pretty cheated. That $16 million wasn't paid out but was it returned to its rightful place in the jackpot sequence and given to the next winner(s)?

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Potentially avoid Raceway on McIntosh Rd off I4 in Dover. Bought two Legacy GR losers. Before I scratched, I noticed that there was a very tiny scratch on both the tickets within the bar code region. Not sure if two tickets is really proof of fraud or not but, perhaps I may email Fla Lottery.

Trials for Tipton brothers charged in lottery scandal delayed
Trials for brothers charged with ongoing criminal conduct in Iowa for allegedly fixing lottery games to collect jackpots have been delayed.
District Court Judge Bradley McCall entered an order Wednesday moving the trial for Eddie Tipton to July 10. His trial had been scheduled to begin Feb. 13.
His brother, Tommy Tipton, a former Texas justice of the peace, was facing trial Jan. 23. His trial date was moved to Sept. 11.
Attorneys for both sides agreed to the rescheduling.
