Wisconsin Lottery switches to computers to select winning numbers
My objection to computer drawings is the possibility that the computers will have a network card buried in the software. Using wireless technology, the computer could, during the 30 minutes between the time sales are halted and the drawing, scan a nearby lottery computer and come up with winning numbers that would minimize lottery losses.Despite multiple shielding, almost all electronic devices have unwanted and sometimes compromising radiation, even when the device is operated within a screen r

all-i'm going to share
Texasman, People from all over the world have come to expect and enjoy a wide variety of eloquence from the urban inhabitants of Muleshoe Texas. We have yet to be disappointed by the eloquent language and philosophy that quaffs from this region. In their ingenious ways, both Texans and Muleshoens have been sensitive to the dynamic quality of language throughout the world. They have also been aware of the inexplicable communication problem of the human species, the superior species blesse

Are Powerball predictions random?
Lottery is not just a matter of randomness, because randomness may not JUST be the dominating cause of a random lottery result any more.It just appears that lottery numbers are that random!Actually true randomness is almost impossible to create depending on the technology we have now.Lottery drawings are the unity of chaos and order.Chaos refers to the randomness while order refers to the regulation of maths and statistics,etc...People have been thinking neither lottery is random nor is simply co

Lottery petition attacks computerized drawings
smd183 Clipper,Before taking things so lightly, you should really try to understand that with billions of dollars at stake, people are apt to do things that they wouldn't otherwise. You should listen to what BobP said: hacking is very feasible. And if you think the LOTTERY is renowned for their superior IT expertise, you're barking up the wrong tree. I'm sure they're more than capable of handling what programming tasks are needed, but they are not going to be industry leaders in technology

Lottery Post Downtime Wednesday Evening
As those who tried to visit Lottery Post after 8:15 PM Wednesday evening were undoubtedly aware, the site was down for the entire evening. Operations were restored at approximately 2:30 AM Thursday morning. The problem was not related to the Lottery Post Web site, its server technology, or anything else under our control. The data center housing our servers experienced a massive power outage that affected even backup systems.I apologize for the downtime, as I'm sure it was frustrating for many

Runtime Error
George: Sometimes the Alexa Site Info box causes errors when their site gets rebooted. There's not a heck of a lot else on the front page that could get screwed up.On the slower speed, it's definitely not bandwidth-related, as I bought gobs of bandwidth. Enough to support 10 or 20 times peak traffic needs. The slower speed is probably related to the popup menus. The pages load at about the same speed as before, but after they load the popup menus need to run some JavaScript code in order to

Bad News MO Players...
Bryan,Thanks for posting. I couldn't find any info on ODDS (Online Daily Draw System) software, so I'm guessing it's home-grown software. They go to great lengths to describe the drawing process, but I'm still wondering what they mean by people will watch the drawing from an external video feed. What, they're going to watch a tape of someone hitting a button on the keyboard??I'm sure NASA would have a much more impressive list of technology they could spew, but accidents and bugs still happen t

IL Hawthorne racing meet-Exactas
I am applying my pairs technology to horse racing with fantastic results so far for the Hawthorne thoroughbred meet. I've been a horseplayer for many years so this is an exciting breakthrough for me. I know it's a limited audience in this venue, but if it helps someone win some money then it's all good. This is for exacta betting only. You have to watch the toteboard for expected exacta payoffs. You bet on the exacta combination only if the projected payoff is $50.00 or more, 10 minutes bef
