Looking for Powerball Pool Player
There are 86,400 seconds in a day. In addition, you need to co-ordinate with all 1000 members and make sure there are no redunancies in purchases, and that the field is completely covered. This is not an easy task. It would take months of coordination and months of planning. Once you have covered the field, you need to be aware of what the odds are of there being one or more winner. As the prize gets larger these odds become considerably higher. Then you have to have statements f

Buying Mega Millions lottery tickets a strictly defensive act
The pools are usually set up when the jackpot is near or over 100MM. I play my own tickets but set aside a few $ for the pool, if there is one. I don't want to hear the next morning that it was won by a group of people that I could have been part of. My extra few $ may even have added in the one extra ticket that had the winning numbers and positively changed the lives of several people.

Hello
I think I'd have to get to know you a bit longer before considering allowing that kind of posting. I do my best to protect the members here against scams, so if a brand new member comes on soliciting contributions to a pool , that makes me suspicious.

Co-worker suing for share of lottery prize
No Money, No Claim to any prize! That is the best reason as to why I do not Ever put money in a lottery pool of any kind! My money will never be tied up for 2 or 3 years, because of some other fool hearted selfish turkey just because they thought they deserve some of the winnings for some reason or another! You paid your money or you didn't, and if you didn't, TO BAD, there is no sharing the wealth with a non payer!

Hello
Todd, I need to understand what you mean by advertising a lottery scheme . For example, if one were to ask people to throw $5 in a pool and buy tickets where the organizer does not take a cut or charge money - in other words, organized just like a office lottery pool. Is that considered advertising? Is that allowed? I am not suggesting I want to do this. I just need to know the rules. In the meantime, allow me to offer my opinion. I have seen many schemes where there are fees to j

Hello
Glad to hear it. There have been LOTS of people who think Lottery Post is their personal advertising space for their Internet pool (syndicate) schemes, and it's a pain to delete their messages and cancel their accounts. That's why I just wanted to be sure that wasn't the direction things would go here.

Powerball/MM Strategy
I've seen this discussed here before: if you're buying 50+ tickets for Mega Millions or Powerball, why not just buy ever possible megaball/powerball number? As a caveat, I never look for patterns in old numbers drawn, and assume that numbers are chosen randomly. I know that this isn't exactly true, but I've decided it's not worth hours and hours of my time to do analysis that might give me an infintesimal advantage. I live just outside Boston. I can play mega millions at my corner sto

Hello
Welcome to LP. I usually play alone, as I do not wish to split a smaller jackpot. A huge one however is a different story. I pool up with no more than 2 people max, and only during high jackpots.
