Tonight's winner 10-12-19-23-30 had never matched more than three, but it wasn't on my list. It had matched three 25 times and two 263 times for a lost of $1596 if it had been played 2109 times up to now, but it payed $100,000 tonight. For me if I had played my list, I would have won my aveage of $1 for $9 played, because it did match two 4 times for $4. So much for the simulation.RJOh

To Mrcoolsoul,You matched three (07 14 41) in your first line so you get a free QP. If you had a number 05 with those three you would win $5. Check the back of your playing card, it gives you the prizes and odds of winning. The QP for a match three is a promotion that just started the 25th of September.RJOh

RJOh: I'm sure that MM has actually CUT INTO sales of 6/49. I'm glad that somebody hit last night...hopefully from here on out, the Ohio 6/49 will be hit before the jackpot reaches 10 million, so that Ohio will OVERHAUL the game since giving a free play for three numbers will prove to be as effective as a Band-Aid strip on a knee operation.

I've read that some states were doing the same thing with retiree pensions. I read several months ago that California sent out state-tax due to retiree who had earned their pensions in the state but were now living in another state with lower or no state taxes. Some other states are considering doing the same.RJOh

You can get the cash value of the Powerball jackpot at it's web site. The cash amount is before Federal and State taxes are subtracted. For the Megamillion, Todd has a Jackpot Analysis section at biggamelottery.com that calculates the cash value after taxes.RJOh

VD,When a pool is handle the right way, everyone gets a fair share for their investment, anyone that would expect more is not the kind of friend I would want. When I play the lottery, I try to play as many combinations as possible thinking that my odds are improved with more combinations so I don't even repeat combinations of 4's on my tickets. Everbody have different ideas when it comes to picking numbers, for me having one winning ticket would work fine for me. Good luck to you.RJOh
