Record Powerball lottery won by one Nebraskan
Hearing it was another pool that won. Some meat packing place across the street from where the ticket was sold. Ah, rumor mills, love them.

Again...I dont know why I bother with PB
I wonder if the winner of the recent PB felt the same last week? It is easier to be a loser, hard to be a winner. You will either be lucky or you won't; joining a pool won't change that - only reduce the spending cash.

Proposal takes aim at Lottery sales pitch to teens
The $365m Powerball winner (or a member of a pool) could be a 19- or 20-year-old from Iowa. That would be very interesting.

pts vs physical playing
Or you could simply pool up with someone here if you could find someone trustworthy enough. Simply send your part of the money each month, and if the ticket is a winner they could simply send you your share.

Again...I dont know why I bother with PB
If the pool was careful enough at picking at least the mega balls, they should have gotten back at least $8 (each mega ball would have been covered at least four times).

pts vs physical playing
I think it would actually be much, MUCH EASIER claiming it thru PTS than anxiously awaiting the ticket in the mail. At least with PTS you KNOW that the winning ticket is being kept for you, not out in the vast mail system waiting to get lost or stolen.
PTS' Fees are paid for when you purchase the ticket. The only interest they retain in the ticket is 1%, so they can legally buy it for you and then arrange for you to pick it up in person when you direct them to, since you are 99% of the ticke

Mad rush for PB tickets
To us regular players it doesn't matter weather its $365M or $65M. More people play and more people spent when the jackpot gets big but wouldn't they be happy with $65M? Or even $25M? Their mentality is: its worth buying few extra tickets when the jackpot is huge but not when its not . I do not understand this, unless you pool with other 100 people.

$400 Million Powerball ?
If the Powerball does roll the $390 million annuity will be a big prize and so will the Match 5 bonus prize pool. It will probably be around $70 million or higher for 2-22-06.-weshar75

Powerball Sets A New Record
Jake649, if no one wins PB Jackpot, it will only roll 25 million more at a time, but it will increase the Match 5 bonus pool if no winner comes out. I hope PB sets a new roll record just like CA SLP had rolled 20 times from November 12, 2005 to January 21, 2006.

Power Play option
Powerplay does not work for the 5+1 prize it only works for 5+0 prizes and lower. For matching the 5+0 and a 2 multiplier you would have a $400 thousand prize plus whatever your equal share of the Match 5 Bonus Prize pool would be.-weshar75
