Alot of people in my county have hit over the years...all sorts of big prizes. The biggest hit was 35 million for a pool of abount 30 employees at a supermarket one town north of me. One couple hit the Pick 6 TWICE IN 6 MONTHS for 13 million bucks 12 years ago...They managed a convenience store. There was an investigation, but there was no foul play; they got paid and moved to Florida it is rumored.

I highly doubt Powerball will make it to $300 million again, although you never know with that game. If Powerball rolls until January 7, 2006, it will probably already be $365 million for that drawing, since that is the new cap before the match 5 bonus pool takes effect.

Did anyone else notice that all the winning numbers for the last drawing were composed of five digits 0,1,2,3,and 6. This happened one other time and came close two other times. I agree that there has to be written rules if you are to play in a pool. Have the same SMALL group of people playing everytime. The scanning and distributing thing seems to work for someone that posted earlier and that's cool. There seems to be always someone in the news that's pissed because they should get a share and blah blah blah. I personally think they should just take the money they would have spent on lawyers and buy a buttload of more lottery tickets!!

Just distribute copies of the tickets in a pool. The copies provide contract protection and end all argument. I feel for these people but you pay your money and you take your chances. If there is no proof, I don't think I would have risked sueing. That is a crap shoot even with proof.
