Hey Visiondude, my main man.... :)
Your odds of matching 2 numbers in a 6/42 drawing is 1:6. Who would dumb enough to pay $40 on a $1 bet with those odds. In the Ohio's Buckeye5 which is a 5/37 lottery, the odds of matching 2 is 1:9 and that pays $1. If you do find a lottery that pay $40 on those kinds of odds, let us all know so we all can make some money before they go broke.RJOh

just confirmed no jackpot winners in ohio or michigan
It is carried on one of the cable channels. There is also a short mpg at the MM website within an hour or two after the drawings. Channel 10tv out of Columbus have shown clips of the drawing during its 11 p.m. news cast, other stations that carries the regular lottery show may do the same.RJOh

rjoh - don;t forget to post.
Don't feel alone, it didn't work in South Carolina, Vermount, Virgina, West Virgina,New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Maine, New Mexico, Pennsyvania, Michigan, Minnesota, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky and Louisiana. Did I miss any one? It worked because there were over 30 states with pick3 drawings, statistically you can't be wrong in all of them, maybe the next challenge should be to pick 25 numbers that will not hit anywhere in the USA.RJOh

RE the Florida Lotto story on front page
RJOh: Assuming the woman would have preferred the lump sum, she may have not have known about the 60-day period in FL to decide on cash or annuity. If that's the case, she learned a hard lesson. If she dies early in the 30-year period, her heirs MIGHT go into debt paying inheritance taxes on the winnings (I think she's NOT married, BTW).

RE the Florida Lotto story on front page
Where did you get your smarts from? How do figure that nothing is better than $364,000.00 per year for 30 yrs? It might have been better to get the cash value, but it's hard for me to figure how nothing would have been even better. I've matched 5 of 6 in the Ohio lottery for $1,500 and I thought that was better than nothing.RJOh

sandyk you hit ga 485 for a box
My point was no one really need a gift to pick 22 pick3 combinations and have then hit somewhere is the USA 4 or 5 times. Statistically, anyone who pick 22 combinations can expect that to happen, even a non believer. RJOh

EZMoney is right. There are 51 5+0 combinations and 235 4+0 combinations. You do the math.RJOh

Buying lottery tickets online
The websites that I've seen actually don't sell tickets but purchases lottery tickets as instructed by their customers and charge for their services. These services probably work fine until you think you have won a large amount of money which is not likely to happen given the odds of winning in the lotteries. RJOh

$58,000,000 if no winner!
The estimated jackpot was 50M, but was the actual jackpot 50M? There may have been an adjustment in the estimation process to align the estimated jackpot with the actual jackpot. RJOh
