Hi everyone. First post here. (love your posts btw Chewie!) Gift taxes are a pain, but you can get out of them if you only give $12,000 to each friend or family member per year. Or, for instance, if you're married (even if your spouse was not claimed on the winning ticket), you and your spouse can each give $12K to each of your kids/siblings and their partners. That's $48K a year tax free for all parties (not counting the tax you originally paid on the winnings and interest).

Well, to address your viewership question, studies have shown that people want the drawings shown on live TV, even if they don't watch them.
