I think Californians hate Super Lotto Plus
Sounds to me like a catch-22 situation. On the one hand, people don't play because the jackpot grows slowly. On the other hand, the jackpot grows so slowly because people don't play. You gotta convince folks to play the game or the jackpots will continue to grow creep up.

Lottery scratch games still being sold after jackpots are gone
Feeling lucky today? Then don't buy a $20 scratch-off ticket for the New Jersey Lottery's $1,000,000 Explosion game. Your chances of winning the $1 million top prize are Z-E-R-O. The six top prizes were awarded months ago, but the $20 tickets are still on sale. The best prize available today is $10,000. State lotteries are coming under renewed criticism for selling scratch-off tickets after the top prizes have been given away. The latest challenge comes from a professor who says

I think Californians hate Super Lotto Plus
I have said roughly the same thing a while back about Michigan. I believe we should pull out of Mega Million and have a $2 in state game with options like Florida has for the 1 and 2 $ jackpot kicker. Michigan has been in Mega Mill since 1996 and virtually all the Mega Millions jackpots won in Michigan have gone all to the same area of the state (southeastern Mich). (However, since people in Michigan started getting tired of that the state started sending jackpots to Party World near Grand Ra

I think Californians hate Super Lotto Plus
Ohio had a SLP (6/49+1)game when it added MegaMillions but SLP was already losing interest and MM revised interest in the lottery games. Eventually Ohio got rid of SLP and replaced it with a worst game Lot'O Play for a year and then got rid of it and bought back a 649 game as Classic Lotto. The old SLP rolled a minimum of $4M after each drawing and they were losing money but now the Classic Lotto rolls $100K-$200K after a drawing and Ohio is making money again with the smaller jackpots.

Shoulda' coulda' woulda' syndrome
Actually, I believe there have been a couple of people who have admitted that they skipped playing their regular numbers and missed winning big jackpots like Powerball and Mega Millions. I can't find their posts though. I think it happens every so often.

Why I think quick picks suck
No again, you are making an unfounded statement, you can be assured they (the lottery) knows this fact, (QP's vs. handpicked uncollected) which we are not privy to, or is difficult to obtain, but they know the ratio. A person such as Raven may know where to find this info. but one cannot conclude that the two are proportional by any stretch. I am willing to wager that greater than 90% of uncollected jackpots were QP's., prove me wrong.

Why I think quick picks suck
Okay, last time I'm going to post on this topic. It's time for this topic to die. Anyway, if you like quick picks then, by all means, keep buying them. It just seems to me that when I buy quick picks I get an unusually high ratio of low percentage combinations therefore I don't like buying quick picks. It's just my opinion. Like I said, if you like 'em then keep buying them 'cause I like seeing the jackpots go up and up and UP.

Illinois Lotto Jackpots 2008 (Starting June 21)
Out of curiosity I'm going to track this game like the thread in the Pick 5 Forum for Little Lotto. I want to see if the preponerance of QPs winning is just as strong. This game is drawn on monday, Wednesday, and Satruday, three times a week, not seven like the pick 5. For last night: LOTTO PRIZE PAYOUTS FOR SATURDAY, JUNE 21, 2008 WINNING NUMBERS: 02 - 23 - 24 - 34 - 38 - 40 PLAYERS MATCHING 6 OF 6 NUMBERS INCLUDING SUBSCRIPTION WINNERS 1 EACH PLAYER WILL RECEIV

Why I think quick picks suck
There have been plenty of unusual quick picks that have won jackpots. Who knows, the next one might be you(or me, whatever floats your boat)!

Why I think quick picks suck
Just bought a quick pick for the Texas Two Step drawing tonight. Here's what the computer spit out at me: 1-3-4-5+10. NICE! I know, I know, quick picks win a majority of jackpots, but give me a break. I think that's probably the last quick pick I will ever buy.........EVER.
