There are 252 possible combinations of fives using ten numbers. To guarantee a 5 of 5 match if all five numbers are amoung the ten, you would have to play all 252 combinations. That was easy to figure, but had you asked about 5 of 6, I would have no idea how to figure it except to look at a list of available wheels and pick one that worked.RJOh

Yes that is a fixed payout. 5 of 6 with the bonus ball pays $10,000. Ohio went to fixed payouts when they added the bonus ball, but players know that and accept it when they play.RJOh

What follows 2-3-6-13-26+10 in Powerball?Reply
I was checking the last 491 records(balls changed 11/05/97)in my Powerball file to see if I could find what follows that number, but that combination had never been pick before and three of those number occured together only once, so I checked when any of those numbers appeared in a pair or alone and came up with 11-08-25-36-47 and 49-04-36-45-03. I'll be watching the next drawing results to see if those numbers mean anything. RJOh

I hitted that 5 of 6 in May and I thought I could do it again, but I was wrong. I pick my numbers the same way I picked them for the winner. I guest I got lucky that one time and it not going to happen again, but I'm hooked and I'll probably keep trying. As things stand right now, I won't be paying any taxes on that $1500 winning.RJOh

I see that question all the time. Does these states have a rotating list of winning numbers or do they pick a differnt random number for each drawing. Maybe with odds of 1:220 of a hit if you wheel when possible, it just seem that way.RJOh

Actually your odds of hitting when you play pick 3 if you consider all combinations boxed when possible as winners is 1:220. There are 720 numbers than can be boxed six ways, 270 double numbers which can be boxed 3 ways and 10 triple numbers which can't be boxed. That the reason these pick 3 predictor can post a list of 20 or so numbers and claim a hit somewhere in the world. RJOh
