If there was no cap.....
If there was no cap...that would suck. Powerball really had a good idea with this one. IMHO, every draw should be capped at $25M per roll, and any excess will be put in a seperate pool which will roll down to ALL levels upon a jackpot win.

If there was no cap.....
I don't mind the cap that much, the bonus pool was good. But I would have liked a graduated cap. 25 million the first time it hits the record, if not won, then the next roll goes up 50 million, then $75 million, ect. Very unlikely it would not be hit after the second roll. Stars

powerball and mega million matrix changes
Would there be enough left over, after buying a moon pie and big orange, to buy a lottery ticket? Then again, they could pool several people and buy a ticket.

Is Match 5 Bonus Prize a BIG MISTAKE ??
It was a minor mistake, so my vote was yes. However, it was a good decision by PB restricting the PB jackpot to 25 million above the highest jackpot and start a Match 5 bonus pool. However, I think PB should have restricted the PB jackpot to 25 million above the largest jackpot in North American history.

$340,000,000 winner in OREGON
Congratulations to the Oregon Winner of 340 million. I was pleased about the 32+ million into the Match 5 bonus pool where 49 other tickets take home 850K. Lets hope the Oregon winner doesn't have problems as Whitaker done now.

Virgin Islands has first $200,000 winner
Congratulations to the person in US Virgin Islands finally matching 5 numbers, but not the PB. On top of that, that ticket registered 1.6 million because that ticket played with Power Play and 650K was out of Match 5 Bonus Pool.

Second-largest lottery jackpot in US history won
Congratulations to the winning ticket in Oregon. I was pleased that 2 of the tickets who played Power Play ended up getting 1.6 million thanks to the Match 5 bonus prize. If 49 tickets won $653,492 more for the Match 5 bonus prize, how much was in the Match 5 bonus pool?

Second-largest lottery jackpot in US history won
That's what happened the first time there was a record jackpot after they introduced the cap rule. The cap rule was in effect when Whittaker won the $315 million jackpot - the previous record before Whittaker's was $294 million, so Whittaker's wasn't high enough over the previous record to trigger the Match 5 bonus pool then.

Powerball lottery madness spreads to big media
No Jack it is the letters of my Harley FX Dyna Wide Glide Without boring you with long story lets just say I became one of those middle aged persons who was trying to recapture some of his long forgotten youth. As for the thread I just wanted to know as I really sort of play to the second tier rather than the big prize both of which I am sure I will never see but still am sort of unclear of the bonus prize pool......... I understand how it works just sort of fuzzy on how it is paid out.
