Lucky store: Sells third $1M lottery ticket
'Patel said the 40th anniversary scratch ticket is the most popular with his customers. Nobody leaves the store without playing that ticket, he said.' Funny... I have never played 'that ticket', and this is one of my favorite lottery ticket buying places in Massachusetts. Its right off 195 which makes it a quick trip across the border for a flip-trip. Unfortunately I have not been one of their lucky winners. They are very nice there. I have run into 3 different men who are all family mem

A Simply Curious... Lottery Player, looking for Answers or Opinions
How do you figure Connecticut even ranks with the amount of JP winners???.There's a good gap of time in between Jp's according to the website..as far as JP's go... 3 winners in 1997 1 in 2005 1 in 2008 1 in 2009(Rahul Patel none the less) 1 winner in 2011 I can say though that CT seems to do well in the 4+1 and 5+0 with the powerplay departments

New York Dream Team 11/01-11/30
Been no the road all day. no real clue. playing digit 8, sum 16- have 38 pair on the brain all day- will play in all games. Suri- with double play today, doubles are hitting at their expected 27% for November but only played at 21% in October so there is arguably some catching up to do- I know the aquarium store sells winners but not sure the Patel brothers there can be relied upon! 99 pair is only two digits that have not played together since 499 on Sep 29 eve draw. will they show as a d

Lucky lottery lady outed as Stanford University statistics PhD
I'm not saying there was any hanky-panky going on but if there was, I would think that rather than her figuring out the algos and all that, it was something much more simple. Like a person or persons at the Lottery or at the printing outfit telling his friend that he's sending the winning ticket(s) to his store and the store owner tells the lady to come in and buy that book of tickets and they all clandestinely split the winnings in some manner. It's been done before. I'd be interested

A Wheel Question...
Basically you're saying because these guy write gaming articles for the Casino City Times, they are THE casino industry experts. All you need is the courage to face the possibility that Don, the two Michaels and me are right, and you are wrong. I'm assuming you're saying I'm wrong about their credentials because you read their articles, found them fascinating and I find those articles useless information to me. The difference between you and me is that I read other articles written on th

Mass. lottery player claims state's first Powerball jackpot
Freeman said he plays a few dollars around town mostly Quick Picks and he has always prayed and dreamed that he would someday win a big jackpot. His ticket that day was a Quick Pick. As many Lottery Post players do, I watch with the eye of an eagle for trends and patterns. And I am seeing the development or distinct validation of three of them after studying recent news stories on jackpot winners. The following three things have been proven and validated: 1. It helps to p

N.C. store owner accused of stealing winning lottery ticket
You really think your average convenience store saves surveillance video for 6 months or more? What's far more likely is that they simply asked Patel where he bought the ticket and he couldn't give them a very good answer. At some point they would have asked him about playing those numbers before, and if he came at all close to giving them the answer that they already had they would have asked him where he typically played them. It's pretty tough to give good answers to those questions when it's

N.J. lawmaker wants to expand lottery reach, sales
Targets Internet sales, mobile phones, and 'big box' stores Saying it would generate more cash for the state, New Jersey Senate President Richard Codey will push a plan to expand the New Jersey Lottery by selling tickets at big box stores such as Home Depot or Target, adding internet sales and even allowing people to play the games with their cell phones. Codey (D-Essex) said the Lottery has untapped potential that can help ease New Jersey's fiscal woes over the next decade. He said he bel

Change in Penn. Lottery scratch tickets removes shortcut
Regarding the post about the name "Patel" winning a lot: That is interesting. It looks like from the lottery website's winner's lists that some Patel's with the same first name and location are winning mid-level scratch game prizes ($1000 winners for example) more than once per month. The same first and last name(s) also appear in more than one month. This means one of two things: 1. The same first/last name Patel's are spending a HUGE amount of money buying these tickets (the odds for a $
