Looking for Anonymous / Investment Article
I read a great long article on Lottery Post a couple of months ago that talked about remaining anonymous and where to invest some of the money. I think the investments were in 4 different countries treasury bonds. I can't remember if it was a Lottery post member that wrote it. If anyone know what article I'm talking about please provide the link. Thanks.

State bills to allow anonymous winners
I just read an article dated March 2017 that a bill allowing anonymous winners passed a vote in the house (wv) and was being forwarded to the Senate. Anyone here from wv with more info. I also read Idaho killed such a bill. There should be a vote on a similar bill in Michigan to....they allow anonymity for mi games but not the multistage draw games....boo hoo!

House committee considers bill that would allow Texas Lottery winners to remain anonymous
Texas statute already allows winners to have 'minimal publicity' The concerns of a border resident who hopes to win the lottery someday has led to a bill now being considered by lawmakers that would allow the Texas lottery's biggest winners to remain anonymous. On Monday, the House Licensing and Administrative Procedures Committee considered House Bill 59 by state Rep. Ryan Guillen, D-Rio Grande City, which would let winners of $1 million or more remain anonymous. It would not allow winner

Remaining anonymous
music*, Let's compare our non anonymous states to Australia. Anonymous and no taxes sure sounds a lot better to me. Winning a jackpot and remaining anonymous (if possible) sure beats '15 minutes of fame' and never another moment of peace.

$83M Mega Millions jackpot claimed in Georgia
That is not true about South Carolina. When people say such things, ask them to name just one lottery winner that South Carolina would not let remain anonymous. Trusts/LLCs are very complicated and not as anonymous as people would like to think. Also laws vary from state to state, so study up on them before even buying a ticket if that is the way you want to go. The author Ta-Nehisi Coates used an LLC to buy a New York City townhouse last year. The real estate press did a search and found ou

Why it is important to remain anonymous...
I am a big fan of the powerball and megamilion lotteries and I love playing online since these lotteries are not available in my country. I have won only small prizes in the past but the day I win the jackpot I would prefer to remain anonymous to avoid unnecessary problems. Of course, my family, friends and lawyers would know but unknown to the world since I ve read news on lottery winners would ve gone broke few years later after big win due to bad planning. I would not like my private life to

$1M winning lottery ticket sold in Wisconsin goes unclaimed
For all the reasons that states that do no allow winners to remain anonymous use, the players should throw this right back at them and say, How do we know there really was a winner? As ekem6078 brought up, why no tracking the person down by watching the surveillance tape? Hey Wisconsin -and other states - if the players can't remain anonymous the state can't remain 'anonymous'!

Confused Signing Your Name on Powerball Ticket Yet You Can Be Anonymous By Forming a Trust?
Hopefully someone can help me on this matter as forming a Trust to Remain Anonymous to claim a Powerball Jackpot for which you should sign your name in the back of the ticket for protection seems a total contradiction in terms. I didn't find anything on the Internet that reconciled this. I live in California and if I ever won the Jackpot I sure as hell wouldn't want anyone to know if I've won. I read that you can form a trust and have your identity hidden. But how can your identity be hidden if

It's time the lottery needs to stop releasing a person name and picture when a big win is won!
Hi Nydebbie, In my state we cannot be anonymous. If I ever won a jackpot I plan to go to the news conference with a paper bag over my head and would also use a paper bag when Lottery Headquarters takes my picture. I am someone who rarely lets anyone take my picture so thank goodness there are not many photos of me around and I have no Facebook. You are correct about the danger of lottery winners who cannot be anonymous. I feel it poses a great danger to jackpot winners. There needs to be legi
