Less than a year earlier, he won $71,000 after buying 162 Pick 3 tickets with, that's right, the 715 number. The article states that this man has a fiancee back in 2007. It's possible that she could now be his wife.

I remember that thread too and it didn't take Bogle several days to question Shaw. But the article said nothing about Iowa law requiring the person purchasing the ticket to come forward. The article was written to make Steve Bogle look like Barney Fife and the first response verifies it. The people demanding pay the man are obviously not very lottery savvy and/or believe the lotteries have money trees.

I went back and re-read the article and it does sound confusing. The article stated will be given nearly $127 million after federal and state tax withholdings and is immediately followed by with one-time cash options, the Illinois lottery also keeps 25 percent of the prize . This does indeed sound like the Illinois lottery keeps another 25%.
