Agreed, they increase ticket price by 150% but only improved jackpot odds by 4%. The odds to win ANY prize also only increased 4%. Too bad it wasn't an April fools joke!

Huh?, this isn't a starting jackpot and no one won. I was just comparing the jackpot amount from Friday to this Tuesday to past jackpot amounts of similar values for the same days. If $5 is supposed to grow the jackpot faster this Tuesdays increase doesn't really show that. But again they are probably being conservative not knowing what sales are going to be.

The jackpot increase for Tues is roughly the same as before. Maybe they are playing it safe to see how sales are, but yet they were confident people will pay $5...lol

They may be estimating a slow start to the new game. The estimated jackpot for the April 8 draw only went up $11 million. The previous rise in the jackpot was $14 million. Granted, sales for the Tuesday draws tend to be lower, this is a surprisingly low increase in the jackpot.

I plan on playing three sets of self selected numbers Friday April 4th to close out the current ticket price. Then I plan to play 2 sets of QP's Tuesday to commence the new payout structure. If the current jackpot after the price increase isn't at least 50m I'll hold my money until it reaches that amount.

Agreed, no more mega millions for me. I hope we see the jackpot only increase +1 million after the first draw. I'll be playing Cash4Life on Tuesdays/Fridays. Odds for Cash4Life jackpot are over 13x better than MM, and the ticket is 60% cheaper! Good luck

Thanks for the reminder Gr. Just went in and ripped up the unused MM slips. I won't need to see those things for the foreseeable future. I hadn't given the PB sales increase much of a thought but definitely an excellent point.

The price increase is crazy. My 5 lines cost me $10 today will be $25 dollars a draw post change. Either people will spend more (doubt it) or less which means less combinations sold per draw which means longer times between draws and larger jackpots. I think we will see 2-3 wins per year but $2+billion
