Lottery Number Programming
For those languages that don't have the MOD function, you can use the ABS function (absolute value). If the number divided by 2 is the same as the ABS of the number divided by 2 then it is even.
Some time, languages with similar names don't have the same functions, for example Liberty Basic doesn't have INKEY$ which all basics by Microsoft have, so when trying to covert MS Basic program to Liberty Basic similar routines have to be written differently.

Improvements to Lottery Post made this morning
Dial-up is no fun! Go cable or DSL, and you'll never go back.
Sorry to hear about the inability to upgrade to IE7. Can you upgrade your PC to Windows XP? Microsoft still sells it, so maybe you can pick up a cheap copy online or something.

Improvements to Lottery Post made this morning
In this post I'll describe changes that were made to Lottery Post this morning, as part of a huge web site update. It is the culmination of about a month of programming I have been doing since the last big release, on Dec. 11, 2007.
(As always when a big upgrade is installed, the first thing I recommend doing is clearing your browser's cache, to remove all old script and style files from your web browser. If you use more than one browser, the cache should be cleared on each one, since differ

Pick 4 Pirate - ready to download
Your Pirate should have a Parrot... the prg. I provide http://members.aol.com/lparent674/parrot.exe <--here will generate a string based on the frequency of any list of numbers. Very simple program, wrote in less than 1 hour, but automates the algorithm. You will need the .net runtime available on microsoft.com but you might already have that on newer Windows. What you do in this prg. is copy (from text file, Notepad) OR enter directly just the numbers in the draw history (15 draws, or as man

need some advice-antivirus
Lottomike, justxploring is absolutely right!!! I was hijacked about a year ago, and fumbled with trying to extricate a series of viruses and the perpetrator taunting me and threatening to take over my computer completely. So, I went to the microsoft site One care which at the time was free as justxploring says, and within 45 minutes Mr. Wang was assigned to me to walk me thru the steps using the Techie site Hijackthis!! Not only was I impressed with their response time, but the ease in clearin

Lottery Post announces Lottery Results Gadget for Windows Vista
Vista is NOT horrible, it's awesome. It's fashionable (but not justifiable) to dog-pile on Microsoft. It's got to be one of the stupidest concepts ever. Everyone hated XP too, but now those same people can't stand to let it go.
Vista has low-cost versions available. You could probably get a great discount if you looked.

Welcome to the Lottery Results Gadget forum!
Vista is the future, and this capability does not exist in XP.
Vista gets bad press by the anti-Microsoft press, but it is actually quite an awesome OS. I would recommend upgrading from XP in a heartbeat.
