Family sues lottery ticket finder
It was really nice to offer a 1/3 to the family. I believe that even though you find something you should try to find the owner otherwise it is like theft. I know this is an unpopular idea. I once found a wallet full of money and walked 2 miles to the address in the wallet. The man opened the door, took the wallet and said, The money had better all be there. and then closed the door. The next time I found a bunch of money I kept the money and threw the wallet in a public mailbox. I was wrong,

easy Lotteries Vs. Bank robbing....
Guys, do you think that if there was a way to hit the lottery (any lotto game) very often, and it was common knowledge, that it would cut down on bank robbing, identity theft, scam, hacking, shoplifting, etc. Like if there was a way that you could hit pick3 (like a pick3 game with less combination) very often and it was obvious, that people will cut down on bad habits? If lotteries were easy, i think people will concentrate their energies into hitting the pick3.
I don't think this would stop m

Penn. woman sues for share of winning lottery ticket
Debit and credit cards aren't the same according to the Federal Government either. To the best of my knowledge, the Fair Credit Act was never modified to cover debit cards and therefore does not protect people from fraud or theft. The law limiting liability to $50 per card doesn't apply to a checkcard. I don't know why a retailer would accept a debit card for a lottery ticket purchase unless it was a large one. How much do they profit from the sale of a ticket? Retailers are charged a fee for

Woman 'hiding lottery win from husband'
Trust is just another word for temptation; it is all about acting appropraitely in any given circumstance. Remeber when computers first started, their were all the experts who kept breaking into the backdoors. most went to jail. Hoever, the experts were immediately hired by the same banks to create the protection systems. To do that, they had to have access to all the portals and codes. Amazingly enough, continued theft was a rarity, and even this day, you can thank the forgiving bank leade

Original buyer of $1M lottery ticket identified
The legal issue boils down to only a few points:Whether this guy can prove he was the purchaser,Whether he still owned the tickets after he deliberately discarded them,Whether the ownership passed to the store, or not, or to anyone who retrieved them,Whether ownership passed to the dumpster diver when he retrieved them,Whether there was 'consent' on the part of the store for the garbage that presumably still belonged to them to be claimed by the dumpster diver, and if not, would they have allowe
